  1. Whoo boy, did you just open a can of worms...
  2. suddenly the craft acted as if it had just gotten a shot of NOS!! The G force was so strong both Don and Jonas thought they would pass out! Suddenly there was a loud BOOM as they broke the sound barrier. The sound was so loud that...
  3. Be prepared for a loooong wait to get a table...
  4. A word of caution about retirement Don, that's when the real work begins! All those things you've been putting off, well when you retire you have no excuse any more, time to do the honey do list!!! Sports cars can be a lot of fun, you and Sue should enjoy it!
  5. I'm pretty sure those years will work, just look at the picture and see if the bolt holes are on the side and not the top. Ideally you want the gold dots over the blue dots, the difference being gold dots are aluminum pistons whereas the blue dots are steel. Without the 14mm master you won't notice and difference in the braking, and besides, why bleed the system twice??
  6. Looking forward to it Ben!
  7. Scooter45 one thing to consider whether to trike or go Spider is the resale value. A used Spider will get you more of a return on the initial cost than what you paid for the bike plus the conversion will get you. I've got over $30,000 into my '09 and would be lucky to get low $20K's if and when I sell it. For what I have in mine I could have bought the deluxe version Spider and at selling time get more money back than for mine. As I already mentioned, the comfort level of my Hannigan is a lot better than on a Spider for me. Other people may feel different but I doubt I could ride a spider comfortably for 8 to 10 hours. I don'[t have enough experience on a Spider to see just how fast you can push them through the twisties but I do know there have been 2 wheelers that have had a hard time keeping up with me in some cases...
  8. As a matter of fact I immediately noticed a difference when I put them on this spring. I already knew there would be a comfort difference from setting on Jeanie's trike but never drove hers. Next MD take mine for a ride and decide for yourself, but yes the additional pullback aids in steering effort and makes it almost like power steering to me. Does yours have the rake kit (steer lite) on it? Not all Hannigans have it. If the triple tree looks exactly like stock then you probably don't have it, but if it looks different from stock you do have it. It is an option, not standard for Hannigan. Of course centrifugal force is centrifugal force, nothing is going to change that. The nice thing about the wide wheelbase and IRS is the trike will handle a lot more of it without lifting a wheel off the ground. Part of learning how to handle the twisties is overcoming the fear of going over or being thrown off...
  9. I prefer my Hannigan over a Spider mostly for the comfort. A set of Flanders bars along with the easy steer make it a dream to handle..
  10. Oh, were you gone???
  11. he was about to host the biggest M&E that Ventureriders ever saw, and it was about to happen right here! Squidley was wondering just what the boss was REALLY up to as usually the boss made plans well in advance whenever he threw a big shindig. "Well, let's get things set up then" said Squidley. As they began to empty the truck, set up tables and chairs, and fire up the grill there was suddenly a strange noise in the distance. It sounded like...
  12. I found out kind of the hard way that you can lean a 2nd gen pretty darn far. I entered a sweeper a little too fast for my comfort level with the bike but was determined not to crash so I pushed it past the comfort zone for leaning and held on for dear life. That's when I learned just how far I could lean it! In reality the 2nd gen is a touring bike, not a crotch rocket. It really wasn't designed to be used full throttle through the twisties. It's designed for many hours on the open highway...
  13. I just snug it down by hand. Remember to put a thin coat of oil on the gasket before you tighten the filter...
  14. The seafoam does not foul the plugs in itself, but in some cases the crud it breaks loose can foul plugs...
  15. Yes, there is a slight draw from the radio even with the key off, but not enough to kill a battery in a week. It becomes an issue when you store the bike for an extended period of time like storing for the winter. I've let my bike set for several weeks and it starts right up. I would suggest pulling your battery, charge it up, and have it load tested. Most car parts stores will load test for free... EDIT: I see you have a 2013 which will have the ISimple setup, and there was an issue with those, check with your dealer about that. Still have your battery checked out to rule out a weak battery.
  16. Picked it up and immediately said "Now I've got you red handed, you litterer you!! I'm gonna get you boy..." The Detective hopped onto his waiting blue 1st gen and proceeded to chase after Don and Eileen, lights flashing and siren blaring! With the gigantic roar of the engine in his Avalanche Don did not hear the sirens, nor did he see the lights in his rear view mirror as Eileen was busy using it to fix her makeup, a hard job to do as the pickup rumbled down the road. Suddenly Eileen's cell phone rang! It was...
  17. happened to see some kind of commotion going on in the parking lot they were stopped next to. He wasn't sure but it seemed to involve...
  18. Any 2nd gen RSV '99 - '12 will work, and a lot cheaper than VMAX parts. Expect to pay around $60 for a good used one...
  19. blew a gasket because this was the third time this month she decided out of the blue to throw a shindig on the spot!! "Eileen, you get over to the airport this instant and pick me up like you were supposed to!" Eileen did as she was told but couldn't help but to think...
  20. If it's a Hannigan it is going to be a great trike!!!
  21. grinning from ear to ear as he was enjoying his flurry. Seeing the ice cream Eileen decided to...
  22. actually gain some ground on the speeding white Avalanche! No easy feat considering the amount of white smoke spewing from the tires of the truck. As the crotchety old man came closer, he noticed ahead...
  23. You are correct, sync'ing the carbs does nothing for the richness/leanness of the mixture. To properly adjust that you need either an exhaust gas analyzer or a color tune plug...
