  1. You will probably be better served by ordering an Ignitech unit from member Dingy. The stock ignition modules can be rebuilt but let's face it, you are dealing with a 30 year old unit and it will probably fail again...
  2. Early hash pipe???
  3. If it has friction inhibitors do NOT use it, bad for clutch...
  4. You are correct, Earl has those as well!
  5. It'll bolt right in...
  6. Contact member Skydoc_17, he has them.
  7. The main reason the heads get buggered up is using SAE screwdrivers on JIS screws. Get yourself a set of JIS screwdrivers, the angle is different on them...
  8. Hmmm, I should check mine...
  9. I would love to see a rider on that...
  10. I agree with Kevin that the problem lies in the tuner controller module but it may be the switch itself and WD40 won't help that...
  11. Looks like something out of Mad Max! I bet his neighbors just love him for all the black smoke...
  12. Looks like it was a fun ride Wayne!
  13. Sorry, I guess I've been driving a 2nd gen too long...
  14. You are talking the red push to start switch, right? I'm surprised no one has a right hand controller for sale on ebay... Sorry I don't have one but I'm sure someone here does, I used to have spares but gave them away a couple of years ago. Did you try to disassemble and repair the switch?
  15. Did all of these problems start at the same time?? Did they start after the new battery? The CMU may need soldering on the connector as vibration through the years may have weakened the solder. The reason I asked about the battery is you may have a defective new battery or a loose connector. Do some voltage testing on the battery on the connectors and not the battery itself as well as on the battery connector. Any difference will indicate some resistance on the connections. You may also have a bad connection on the fuse holders as they are known too create problems as they age. There is a kit available from member Skydoc_17 to convert to modern blade type fuses. As far as the turn signals go, do the 4 way flashers work properly??
  16. According to your profile you have an '83. The Royale is Gold whereas yours is Maroon so yours is a Standard...
  17. The ground side will draw the same amount of current...
  18. Oh Boy!!! I gots a ticket to Mars!!!
  19. Order your DEKA battery from member Skydoc_17. The probe is a sensor for the electrolyte level in the battery. You will get a warning signal on the dash but that can be overridden by installing a 2K ohm resistor from the probe to the + side of the battery or to the ignition line...
  20. Yah, especially if the dealer has a less than flawless reputation...
  21. E3 is a model number for Dunlop. They have one of the highest tread wear rating of all tires...
  22. Are you sure it is the switch and not the bulb??
