    Does anybody know if on the '87 13DT VR on the right master cylinder (front brake) reservoir where the bolt that holds the chrome cover in place covering the reservoir(I think after market) or maybe where the mirror would screw in on the top side of the reservoir at the handle bar is reversed threaded? I have striped the allen insides out trying to turn, applied heat, cut deep slots in the top to try to grip and turned until blue in the face to no avail. Could it be reversed threaded?ffice:office" /> Thanks for any help!!!

    Does anyone know where I may find a new seat for an 87VR ? I am a big guy and the seat is a little light. I want a big thick soft seat. Any ideas? Should I take it and have it re- upholstered? Thanks for any help!!!

    Anyboby know why the oil light on the board is lit up and the oil level is fine? I understand it is a level indicator. How would I trouble shoot and where would I look? Thanks for any help.

    Yep!!! Changed the oil to a Yamaha oil for 4 strokes and slippage is gone. Thanks for the help!!!

    Thanks for the help. The oil did not have energy conservation on the label so that ruled that out. I started noticing the slip when I accelerated in 4th. gear. Now it slips when I hit the gas in any gear. I believe I need a new clutch. Is there a link on how to do this? Please advise. Thanks again for all this handy information. You guys are great!

    Just changed my oil in my 87 Venture and got it down the road and started to have clutch slippage. I have reserched the site and have seen that you are not to use auto grade oil ( I used Castrol 10w-40 auto). Can I simply drain this oil out and replce it with Rotella Diesel oil or are the friction plates ruined and need replacing? Please let me know. Thanks!!!

    Does anyone know where the idel screw is on my 87 VR. I have looked for it and I am having trouble finding it. Is it a thumb screw like in the manual or a slotted screw? Also ,how would I be sure all 4 cylenders are firing? Will it run on 3 cylinders without notice except loss of power? The reason I ask is the scoot sat up for 6 years before I woke it up and seams to run smooth but I dont know if all cylinders are fireing and idels so low it cuts off when throttle grip is at idel position. Any help would be great. Thanks!!
