  1. I will do as told. I almost cancelled the stress test earlier today. After I read your message about coming to help Eileen, I figured that was all the stress test I needed. Seriously, I think that all the tests are done....unless they come up with some more. Had a heart echocardiogram yesterday, abdominal aorta echo this morning, stress test this afternoon. Now just have to wait on the results. I'm honestly not very concerned as I have known for years that I am fairly bullet proof. Unless they call and tell me otherwise, I will be on the road tomorrow for a sign show in Detroit.
  2. Thanks for catching that. I have edited the post to delete his email.
  3. His name is Brian and he is a legit member here. He owns the only Venture in Israel and I've exchanged a number of emails with him. Seems like a great guy. I don't think you are getting spammed. His username is Brian Aber and he is a supporting member and listed on the Members List.
  4. Pete, it's been my experience that it's seldom the buttons that cause these issues on the RSV. It can often be corrected by pulling the front of the fairing and cleaning and reseating the 5 cables. If that doesn't work, it seems to most often be a problem with the unit itself.
  5. Looks like I'll be busy the next few days with all those wonderful tests. I have an an angiogram tomorrow along with a couple other things. Then on Wednesday I have a stress test. I had hope to get all of it done today because I have some meetings in Detroit that I needed to be at. I've got a small sign show in Detroit on Thursday and Friday but luckily it doesn't start until 4:00 on Thursday so I should get to it with no problem. Other than feeling a bit weak, I'm fine and need to get back on the road.
  6. It was most likely caused by the same thing that caused some issues a week or so ago. When I made some changes to the PM system and it screwed up some links and etc. Several people couldn't get to any thread. They would click on a thread or a tab and it would take them back to the home page. The fix, after I undid the change, was that people had to clear their cache and history. The fact that it's working on your computer and not at home is a clear indication to me that you need to clear the browser cache and history at home.
  7. Come on folks. Only 50 people signed up? If you haven't put your name on the calendar yet, please do so. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=437&day=2015-5-30&c=1
  8. They are the same speakers as the front.
  9. I'll let others answer about packing material but it is readily available from Dennis Kirk and many other places and not that expensive. Syncing the carbs should be done yearly or so but changing the mufflers should have absolutely no affect on them.
  10. Thanks for all the well wishes but I'll be fine. I'll get the tests done to rule out any problems. Just to clarify, I wasn't shoveling snow. I was on my old John Deere lawn tractor with the snow blower. Wasn't over exerting myself and wasn't over heated at all. Was actually quiet relaxed. Old tractor was running good. Now blower was working great...no plugging up or anything. It was going very well. Was dressed warm and very comfortable. I already do much of what some of you have suggested. I've taken an 81mg Aspirin for several years. I take 1000 mg of vitamin D every day along with 1200 mg of fish oil and a multivitamin. Very good about taking them and never miss a day. My blood pressure is good and I'm on no medication for it. Fairly healthy for somebody who will turn 60 early next month. Very little medication and nothing related to heart problems. At least not until now. They did put me on something for now but I don't have the bottle in from of me so not sure what it is. I know it is for Angina and they wanted me to take it until I have the other tests done. The cardiologist thinks that I may have some blockage. At any rate, I'm feeling OK now. Will get the other tests done and then go from there.
  11. I was out of town until getting home around 2:00 yesterday. Driveway was in desperate need of snow removal so I got on the old John Deere and got busy. Was almost done but had to go in the house to use the restroom. Got finished and was putting my coat on to go back out and finish and got really dizzy and almost passed out. Sat down on a stool at the kitchen bar and got worse so got in my recliner. Stayed there for a few minutes and thought I was feeling good enough to finish up. Made it about half way across the room and almost passed out again. Got back in my recliner and the chest pains started. I figured they would stop in a couple of minutes but 15 minutes later and no relief. Made the mistake of yelling for Eileen who was upstairs. She came down and helped me get to the bed. Of course I would have been fine but NOOOOOOO....she wouldn't let it go. Next thing I knew, I could hear her talking to somebody on the phone and then she came in and told me that I was not to move. Not to try getting up...nothing. The person that she talked to at the Cleveland Clinic had called an ambulance and it was on the way........ So....the ambulance shows up and I'm off to the hospital with IVs, hear monitors, all kind of crap hooked to me. Enjoyed a few hours in the emergency room and then a cat scan and some blood work. One of the tests had showed positive for a clot but they said that the test often returned a false positive. Cat scan did not show anything. Heartbeat was a bit fast but otherwise OK. Still, they insisted on admitting me and monitoring my heart. Spent all day today in the hospital. They feel that I have some blockage and wanted to schedule me for stress tests and etc. I told them that was all well and good but that I wasn't staying in the hospital until next week when they want to do it. I suggested to them that they could remove the IVs and etc. or that I could but either way, I was going home. The cardiologist agreed that there was no reason for me to stay and signed my release papers. So...I'm home now and am not especially concerned about any of this. I'm sure it will all be fine. Will follow up though and get the stress tests and etc. done. Needless to say, I've been a bit preoccupied over the past day and got behind on my email. Just went through more than 300 emails and think I answered all that I needed to. If I missed something from you, let me know. It's all good my friends.
  12. Seems to be working from here. Maybe it was just down for a while when you tried it.
  13. Just adding a message saying it is sold will not do it. You have to click on product options and select "sold it". Then it will be marked SOLD in red.

    Well,,,,

I agree that they are fun to ride. I rode one for most of a day when we had the International in New York and Pioneer hosted us. They gave me the touring model to go on one of our day rides. Eileen loved it and I truly wanted to. I can tell you though, they are NOT made for tall riders. I was absolutely miserable by the time we got back and in fact, I finally let Eileen drive and I just sat on the back and tried to relax. I had a salesman tell me straight up before I ever rode one that I would probably not like it. He said that they got a lot of complaints from tall riders and that Can Am was aware of it and were supposed to be working on something. That was several years ago though and as far as I know, it's the same now.
  15. Hey....I remember that day. It was even at my house.

    Very cute picture.
  17. There is an option when you place an ad to choose notifications when somebody replies to your ad. A lot of people miss that and by default it was set to NO. So unless you went and checked, you would never know when you got a reply. I assume that most people who place an ad would want to know when they get a reply or question so I changed it to default "YES". So if you DON'T want to receive notifications, you will have to remember to select no when you place an ad. Unfortunately, this change does not affect any ads that are already placed and there is no way to go back and edit it to include notifications if you didn't do so when you placed the ad. Now for you buyers. The BEST thing to do is to also click on the link in the seller information that says "Contact Seller". I've seen a lot of people post a reply that they want the item but in the meantime, somebody else may have already used the "Contact Seller" link so may have gotten ahead of you. It's OK to post a reply but if you REALLY want to make an attempt to be the first, you should contact the seller.
  18. The battery may be weak but the light is actually sensing the electrolyte level. If it is low the light will be on. The other possibility is that somebody put a batter on it that has no hole for the probe. In that case, there is a fix involving a resistor. Details are posted in the Tech Library area.
  19. I'm surprised you guys can't here it. It is clear to me.
  20. Yea, works for me. That is TERRIBLE. I'm glad I never had that problem on either of my '99s.
  21. Uh...sure....you bet...I'll uh...get right on that.
  22. Folks, if you have an item listed in the classifieds and sell it, you need to edit it and mark it sold. Then it will automatically delete itself in a coupe of days. To mark an item sold, just go to your add and click on "product options" at the upper right. Choose "SOLD" in the dropdown menu that opens.
  23. Is that better?
  24. It's a conundrum.
  25. I have no bells at this time. I have patches, decals and flags. Ordering instructions can be found with the product listings here: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/forum29/
