I just put a cooler rack from a piggy on my bike and it worked out just as I wanted it to. Very easy to do and looks good too, however you can get a rack from Als I think it is called and not spend a whole lot more money. By the time you put lights and all on a piggy rack you will probably spend about 75.00, the rack itself is 45.00 then you have to build a mount system and wiring & etc.

my wife and I will be in Gatlinburg the 24,25 &26 of oct. I am planning to ride the dragon on the 25th. The wife is a lot more of a football fan than I am and she doesnt want to tackle that ride so she is staying at the cabin watching Bama and Tenn play while I go play!!

:173:May not be the right place to post this but I have to tell someone since the emails were already sent out by my wife to tell everyone else about it! We welcomed our first grandson into this world yesterday at 4:30 P.M. Seven pounds and four ounces and twenty inches long. Mom and baby are both doing great and ready to go home already. Its hard to believe that I am actually a grandpa at 42 years old but I wouldnt trade this feeling for anything in the world! Looks like I may have to ride all alone for awhile since grandma wont leave the baby for anything.

Definately want to see the Biltmore Estate! We were there a couple of weeks ago and it is well worth the cost of admission.

I pulled the new piggy 900 miles this weekend and have no complaints. At 80 mph on the interstate you really cant tell its back there. Also we were in the smokies and running some of those curvy roads, I layed the bike over as far as I would ever care to and never felt any kind of binding at the hitch. I have the diamond r hitch on mine. So I would have to say that I am pleased with the trailor overall. I did have a small problem with one tire leaning in at the top but I called them up and they sent out a whole new axle assembly for that side on the same day. I havent installed it yet but probably will tonight.

I got the XL with the torsion suspension, I do have a slight issue of one tire leaning in at the top a little but I called Piggybacker and they sent out a new axle for it. They seem to be pretty good folks to deal with.

got back yesterday afternoon, wifes first trip on a bike and had a great time! Went up to Ashville to see the biltmore estate and did about 900 miles total. Pulled my new piggybacker trailor and it worked out great. Also the new riser extensions on the handlebars worked great, they totally eliminated the burning between the shoulderblades and helped with overall comfort. If anyone else gets a chance to go to Gatlinburg make sure to go to the Alamo steakhouse, that is without a doubt the best steak I have ever had!!

I just installed the barons risers yesterday, the top of the bolts are covered up with some little plastic plugs so it just looks like there is no way to take them out. All you have to do is pry those little plugs out and you will see the heads of the bolts. Took me about fifteen minutes to install the riser kit. Make sure you place a towel or something over the gas tank cause you cant hold the bars up the whole time and will need something there to keep from scratching the top of the tank. I havent had time to ride very far with them yet but am leaving tommorrow for gatlinburg so i will know pretty quick if it is a good addon. Will post results when I get back.

Hey guys, Well I made it back from panama city!
-
I was on my way to get the first service on it and I noticed that at low speeds it sounded like the rear tire was rubbing on something, only noticed it under about 25 mph, not a steady noise but almost like the wheel was warped or something.

OK, Dealer just called and said they have my ride finished, something about the drive hub not having enough grease on it or something. Said that it happens pretty often on new bikes but should be ok now.
-
I have talked about that with a buddy of mine but we havent decided for sure yet, I dont know if he is up to that much riding cause he has had a new softtail for about six weeks now and only has 140 miles on it!

Yeah I know, Ive already been advised that Im only going as a silent observer and cant get involved unless they ask me to. Oh well, at least I will get to go for a ride everyday so its still better than being at work. Since my kids got to be teenagers they only seem to want us around when the gas tank is empty or they need money or vehicle repairs! I guess this will probably be the last trip that the girls will go with us for a few years so I will try to get through it.

Getting ready to go to Panama City this sunday, this will be my longest ride so far. Went to Montgomery last monday, lot of fun! Took my bike in for the 600 mile service yesterday and noticed a noise coming from the rear, sounds like the tire rubbing on something. The dealers mechanic thinks it may be a brake caliper but Im not sure. The sound doesnt change when you apply the brake. Hope its not serious, I am supposed to pick it up saturday am. Also got my gps mounted yesterday, the folks at adventure gps in Decatur were great to deal with and had all parts in stock. Anyone know of a good ride around Panama City? My wife and I are taking 7 18 year old girls down for spring break so I know I will need to ride some to get rid of some stress!!!! They are all riding with the wife in her suv.
