That looks very nice! -
Glad I was able to make it.....lots of faces I haven't seen in a while......some prettier then others........NO Carl..........that's NOT referring to you........thanks for pulling that event together.
-
Carl....I realize it's last minute but if it's not too late I would like to be added to the list. I just found out the event that I have to go to tomorrow should be done by around 4 or 5 so I can make this dinner. Would also like to bring the Queen along, although she's on crutches right now so not sure if she will be up to it. You know you want me there.....you know you've missed my smiling face and my witty repartee.....

Oh boy........there's soo much one could say........but I won't.

Freebird's Maintenance Day - Do we want to do it?
ReinyRooster replied to Freebird's topic in Watering Hole
For any of the Ontario crew, my plan is to head down somewhere around supper hour Friday night and then stay at my cousin's place in New York state, and then ride to Freebird's Saturday for the day. Anyone travelling around that time let me know and we can group up. -
Freebird's Maintenance Day - Do we want to do it?

Am working hard to make it happen. -
Would love to be there but I have another event that afternoon that I have to be at.

So, aren't we trying to discourage texting and driving?
ReinyRooster replied to SilvrT's topic in Watering Hole
As if riding isn't dangerous enough with the cagers being distracted....now we're going to distract the riders too!! WOW! -
Looks like cabin fever is running rampant here!!!!

I understand wrapping your hand around a tall cold can of a fermented type beverage could expedite the healing process! Heal well buddy.

Puc.....the Wing definitely causes you to "spread 'em" somewhat but my problem was that was having an issue with what called an " I.T" band - that is a long tendon that runs from your knee up the outside of the leg, over the hip and into the lower back area. Mine was tightening up to the point where I thought I needed a new hip. The Wing simply made it worse by not having anywhere to move my feet around while riding due to the engine sticking out the sides. Don't get me wrong, the Wing is a great bike....had all the equipemnt you could ask for, loads of power and super quiet....the problem was more me, not the bike. If it wasn't for that issue, I would probably still be riding that Wing.

Safe travels Amigo! Say hi to those two for me when you see them.

I believe it has probably been done before but since it is crazy cold outside and we're all suffering from cabin fever....how about a thread with pictures of the bikes that we have owned. The first was a 1977 Honda 550-4 cyclinder. Good starter bike...rode it to the Indy 500 in 1979. Then a 1983 Venture.....my first bike bike. Then a 1987 Venture Royale....rode that one to Colorado and back....awesome bike. Changed streams and tried a 2000 Honda Gold Wing.....superb bike but hip issues and the seating position caused me to have to get rid of it. On to my current love......my 2006 Royal Star Venture......love it...great seating position, all the power I need. Love the bike but a little disappointed with Yamaha for things like no tach, tape player, no on board air ride adjustment. Man I can't wait for spring!!

Well said Don. Just sad that it even needs to be said.
-
From our Venture Rally in Colorado....believe it was 2007....It was the longest ride I have ever done.....and the most enjoyable. Rode with great people, and met a bunch more great people.

Cold? What cold? This is the temperature when we Canucks close the windows, put away our shorts and sandals and start wearing a sweatshirt outside.........LOL!

In Ontario, it is mandatory that the winners name and picture be released.....of course they would make that rule to help promote their lottery.
-
Well sadly I did not win any portion of the Power Ball lottery. What I get a kick out of though is people that win large lottery amounts and then say "My life won't change." REALLY?? Unless before the winning, you could walk into any car or bike dealer and simply buy what you wanted without having to even ask the price....your life will change. Then you also need to think about the security aspect of it....perhaps it's just my former LEO mentality but think about the security......some idiot is going to see your face on TV, realize you......or your wife......or your kids....or your dog are worth tons of money and either burglarize your home, rob you personally or kidnap a family member for ransom. You continue working and some co-worker or just a member of the public recognizes you from seeing you on TV as the winner and and suddenly they come up with some bogus lawsuit that you discriminated against them at work, or some other BS story, hoping you'll settle and simply pay them out to shut them up. After a big win you have to know that you will suddenly having an amazing number of "friends"that you haven't seen in years that want to re-connect, and charities and other groups hounding you for support. Long lost family relatives will come crawling out of the woodwork. To say "My life won't change" after a big win is just ridiculous.
