Nice to have friends like that, now find one with a Spyder.

Nobody ever told about this, could you expand upon this a little before our imaginations run wild?

Nice going, thanks for the thoughts. Now this doesn't even take into account the distance traveled while reaction is taking place, the red car could well cover half the distance while it reacts, which would put crash speed at much more than 71, and although the results may not make any difference in the livelihood of the occupants, it does bring to the foreground the increased stopping distance needed at higher speeds. An eye opener for sure!!!

little oil drip
Marcarl replied to SpencerPJ's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Wires actually look like they are dry enough not to be the area of leakage. I think what you're pointing out as a drill hole is somebody trying to stake that bearing in place, and it looks like they had the works apart and did more staking. First time around, at the plant, things look neat but after having to repeat a couple of times it gets a bit scary looking. Can't see anything that would cause harm at this point. I see oil results, but can't see where it originates. I would clean things up real well with brake clean and then progress from there. Hasn't been very often that I've heard of the seal behind the slave leaking, it's actually pretty well put together, thank goodness, because they are a bit of a pain to change. -
Thanks for sharing, wonderful

Now if you put the yellow one on the left, does it spark? If not I would suspect a broken yellow wire. -

You do not have to drain the oil, should be good. -
Wow, 14 years will have set a lifestyle for you two. All that travel is now gone and you'll be home 'constantly'. No more moteling\hoteling, you'll have to set time aside for this venue, more at home suppers, weekends will repeat on a consistent basis, there will be '2' cars in the drive normally, you'll wake up beside your wife more often, your neigbours will get to know you a bit better,,,, lots of changes. Maybe to hardest one will be to get used to the fact that you won't have to catch a plane on time anymore. It's going to take some time to get used to, but in the end I think you made a real good decision. Blesssings!!

Maybe there might be time enough that we could go spyder together,,,, wouldn't that be different,, a new thing at MD We already have a competition going on that, but no matter, hugs are good, real good and I can out hug both of you. Bum might not think so, but I will have a talk with Marita!

I have been trying to downsize, not that I really need to, but I don't want to run out of room. Paint cans is my problem. Something needs paint and I decide what color it will be, by what I have in stock. GREAT!!! another 2 cans in the garbage,,, this is working!!! until the next time and there is no paint to do the job right,,, and before you know it, the store shelve is now in my garage. Wood pieces have the same tendency,,,not my fault, that is all Marca's issue, she keeps coming up with wooden projects, she must think I'm made of wood.

I'd be going with the Titan, good truck and excellent warranty with a good reputation. Sure, parts may cost more, but then you have to consider as to how often you are going to need those parts.

What the "Boys in Blue" experience in "Motorcycle School"

2 videos well worth the watch. I bet there are very few of us who would qualify to take the test, let alone pass it. 10 hours would be the teaching part, after that comes the training,, practice, practice and more practice. Eventually the rider and machine become one,,, what a plateau to get to!!!! -
Who needs satalite radio when you got a sound system like this.
Marcarl replied to saddlebum's topic in Watering Hole
No good!!! can't have music and ride at the same time,,, what good is that??? Next thing to develop is a driverless MC, then he can play as he goes. Neat!!!! REAL NEAT!! -
Smart man,, got it all right. If I have a problem with a fridge??? out it goes, no need to spend money on a repair that won't fix it. On the other hand we have a newer used one that we have out in the garage that on occasion will freeze up the inside coil, and then it gets warm and runs and runs. We thaw it out and it's good again for months until it does it again. We don't store meat in it anymore.

I had an 05 Chevy 2500 Silverado, it got smashed up and I also drive an 08 Dodge 5.7. Gas mileage about the same, more get up and go in the 5.7. Dodge handles much better and sits just fine. Wouldn't trade my Dodge for another. Yes a bit smaller than a Chev or Ford, but suits me better. Got 220,000km on it so far and not much unexpected in repairs. We have 2 chev 2500 vans, built in 05 and am very happy with them, one has over 400 on it and the other over 300,000km. Fords are giving good gas mileage though, friend of mine has a 16 with a 5L in it and I'm jealous.

Quick starter Replacement Question
Marcarl replied to ken5124's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I think you got had!!! That to me looks like a 2 + 2 brush starter,, wait now,,, 2+2=4,,,,, guess you're ok. -
I have used Bar Keepers Friend with good results, others have said to use crumpled up tin foil. I would think though to stay away from any colored paint, use clear coat instead.

There isn't anybody gonna leave this world until the Boss says so, He sets your life span and keeps the bad things in check. If we recognize Him then we will never die, we will just move from this life to the eternal life, not necessarily an easy road, but one that has a promise. I pray that you might meet Him and find that the destination need not be a horror story, but a blessing. We will hold you in our prayers and ask that the necessary healing will take place so you can know the power He has.

Rear speaker / amp question
Marcarl replied to B.E. Coyote's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
You may want to discover how many amps this unit takes. It says that it needs a 10g wire directly from the battery, so that indicates a fair power draw. Then you need to examine how much available power you have in your scoot and you might find that you'll need to add an alternator just to keep up.
