  1. Eck you said The list I posted is showing only the "highest paved roads" in United States, state by state, (not good riding roads state by state). The heading on this thread says DANGEROUS ROADS not highest elevation.
  2. Eck there is one more for WV. It is RT 72 from Parsons to Harman. It is very twisty and only 1 1/2 lanes wide. No lines on the road and very few guard rails. Fun road for a bike if you are not in a hurry.
  3. Eck you have Snowshoe listed but not Spruce Knob it is a paved road and it is the highest point in WV.
  4. The wife has the frogg Toggs and likes them. I have used them bur I now have a set of Tourmasters and I do not think I will go back to the Toggs.
  5. I tried the Corbin seat and didn't like it, it is hard as a rock. I also tried a Saddleman Road Sofa and it was better than the Corbin but I went with a set of Pillow tops that a friend gave me. The wife and I just got back from Branson,Mo. We did 3,187 miles round trip with no complaints on the pillow tops.
  6. Before I would do any painting I would use a primer/sealer on all the parts. It will cover the different shades and it will not bleed through the color you are going to use and you do not have to sand it before you paint.
  7. The radio connections are under the fairing. When I added my GPS I put a six fuse block in under the seat just above the battery. I used this block to power the GPS and driving lights and a couple other things and used relays to all so that I could use a keyed switch to operate the relay. If you are just going to install the GPS you could use any keyed wire under the fairing to keep it from draining your battery. The GPS should only draw about 2 amps
  8. I was going to try it coming home from Branson the other day . Pulling My trailer but the wife didn't want anything to do with that idea.
  9. I wave if I have time. I wave and really do not care if the other does not. I wave at cops when they pass by, I even wave at the people working on the road if they are looking in my direction. Heck I wave at everyone cause I am happy to be able to do the thing I love to do. RIDE.
  10. I didn't get to ride today but I did get 1,056 miles in on Friday and Sat. :happy65:
  11. Glad you are OK. Bikes can be fixed easier than we can. If you need any parts to fix it I have a few that I am not going to use. Stock windshield and outer fairing I know of right now.
  12. We came home from Branson,Mo and spotted two Ventures on I-70 one black one headed west just west of Indianapolis and a white one just west of Columbus, Oh. Just wondering if anyone here.
  13. Scott sorry to hear this but it can be beat. Have a few friends that have had it and they are doing fine. Some didn't find it till very late and are in remission. Prayers from my family to yours for a complete recovery.
  14. Soooo how many sets can you get per foot??????????????
  15. Put a little grease on the cone of the tip, stick it in the hole and get hold of it with a set of wire pliers and pull it into place.
  16. Dang Big Lenny if I would have known you were that close I would have taken a ride down to meet you. The wife and I were in Branson,Mo all week and just got home.
  17. I would take the lights off and then go to the dealer to try to get it fixed under warranty.
  18. Bob that wouldn't work at all for me. I would knock them off in the first turn.

    radio swap

If you can find a radio that would fit the case of the tape deck, it could be done but WHY. With all the other stuff available, XM, MP3 why tear things apart to do the install.

  23. I have a new set of HD bags that I am not using. $10.00 plus shipping.
  24. Puc we had a blast today. Got in a 185 mile ride. Went down to Eureka Springs, AR and did a Zip line tour. Got the wife on them and she is afraid of heights. The longest one is 2,000 feet long and about 300 feet high.
