  1. Dan you forgot or Bum said it was a screen door in the other thread.
  2. And for we who ride bikes it will double or even triple at the same speed as a car.
  3. Bridgestone did make a nice and fast bike for the time they were made. It is a shame that they stopped making them and kept the junk tires that they make today.
  4. Had a 350GTO that I bought in April 72 and a 68 Impala made a U turn in front of me in July and I could not miss it. I totaled that car and went into the trunk of a friends 55 Chevy and totaled it also. Banged me up for over a year. And if I could find one that I could restore I would do it.
  5. Nope if they sold it in the early schedule I missed it, Had to take wife to the store. It will be on again at midnight tonight. As for pics could not get any as the auction is on cable TV.
  6. Hay Puc I am not sure what you got for the WLA that you had but I just saw one restored and sold on Mecum auction in Vegas. It brought $20,000.00. Lots of old and not so old bikes are on the block today. I am looking for a 1971 Bridgestone 350 GTO like I had in 72. just to see what one would bring now. 1500 bikes in the auction.
  7. The rust in the pic looks like the driving light bar. If it is too bad to clean up you can replace it. If you need a light bulb until you can replace those lights I have two you can have as I do not need them. I switched to all LED lights on mine a few years back. One other thing if you can find one, get a light bar extension bracket it will come in very handy when removing the fairing.
  8. If you can't find the lowers you can remove them all and not worry about them. A friend did just that on his Venture and it looks good.
  9. And with a little digging into the history of HD you will find that they were made in JAPAN from 1034 to 1939 using a different name tag.
  10. Great just need a date. :cool10:
  11. First Welcome to this forum. As for your questions the miles and age are not a problem with this bike. The most common problems with this bike are the rear shock and the clutch will start to slip a little at this age and mileage but both can be replaced very easy. The valves may need to be checked soon also. But over all it is a great and dependable bike that you can put a couple hundred thousand miles on with regular maintenance. I have an 03 with 100,000 on it and would not hesitate to go coast to coast at any moment. Good luck with your buy.
  12. Sylv I know first hand of what you speak. I also had Cancer in 2010 in the left side of my neck and two spots in front of my left ear. The first Doc that I went to said it was an infection and gave me antibiotics. It got bigger with in a few days so I went to another Doc that was an ear, nose and throat specialist. He did four biopsies before any medication because he was concerned about Cancer but also told me that he would have to remove the lumps. After the biopsies came back negative he did a PET scan and found the cancer in all the lumps and on the left tonsil. Two operations and radiation and chemo treatments were done and I am Cancer free of it for 7 years.
  13. I am not sure of their chippers but if it is as good as their generators it will be a good one. I have a Champion 5500 watt 6500 peak gen. that we got over 15 years ago and with little to no problems it still nuns like new.
  14. A friend of mine bought two Mahindras a few years back, one like that one and a larger one for his farm. He uses the small one more than the other as it will move into tight areas and with the three point hitch he can attach some of the implements and plow his potato patch. He is 92 now but his son and grand son use them regularly. No problems at all from what he tells me.
  15. Lenny a friend of mine has a Titan and loves it. Very smooth ride and fun to drive. He has had very little trouble with it the past 5 years. I have driven it many times and would put one at the top of my list if I was in the market for a new truck. The ford Eco-boost is not what I would be interested in, I have heard too many sad stories about them.
  16. Craig sorry to hear this and will be praying for you. Keep upbeat and don't let it get you down. I am here if you need any thing.
  17. I have no problem with the temps while on the tender it will stay full charge. My bike does not set all winter here we do get a few days that we can do a little ride.
  18. Jeff it was doing that before I put the LEDs on. Battery is 4 years old.
  19. They were calling for 2"-4" here for two days before it started yesterday. We will be lucky to have 1" here.
  20. Yep. Has done that since the day I got the bike. As long as I start and ride at least each week it is ok. Leave it set for two weeks and the battery will be low. One thing that I have seen with this is when it gets very low the LED lights will come on with out using the switch or key fob.
  21. Nutton yet.
  22. Yah. That white crap is to hit here tomorrow morning and finish on Wednesday. I think we need that Bum fellow to start fanning the door tonight and blow it all out to sea before it gets here.
  23. Sorry Bob looks like they did it again. Good defensive game though.
  24. The Road Star is a good dependable bike. My brother has had one for a long time and loves it.
  25. Just about any Auto Zone or Advanced Auto should have them. Or a good speed Shop will have them. If you order on line try Jegs Performance.
