I am planning to be in Pell City tomorrow night and then over to the rally Tuesday. Earl

I am going to miss alot of the good stuff, hope to see everyone tuesday at barber motorcycle museum. Don't have too much fun until we get there. LOL

I have been to the dark side for 33,000 miles on a $70.00 Federal tire. From 0 to 70 mph I like the car tire better. It is much better on wet roads, better stopping traction on all types of roads, and twice the mileage at hath the price. Above 70 mph on long sweeping curves, especially with not level surfaces a good MC tire is better.

This is a family, you can’t leave!!!! I would love to have one of the VTX 1800. They sure pull hard when you turn that throttle.

The 86 Venture has 2.5 to 3 ohm coils, many of the late 90’s Honda sport bikes use 3 ohm coils and will work well on the Venture. Where you will have trouble is putting a 1.5 ohm coil on the Venture. Earl

I am about 100 miles inland and the eye should miss use, but we are looking out for tornados. In about 4 hrs the worst of it will be getting to us. Praying that it will go back out to sea. Earl

We will be leaving Monday, the 28 th.. Planning to take 95 south and 20 west to some where close to Birmingham. Tuesday morning we plan to go to Barber Motorcycle Museum and meet up with the VR. I wished we could leave earlier but Herbie has to work Sunday. Earl

I have one and for me the plus is it is lower and makes getting on and off the bike easier. Comfort is about the same as stock to me, but my wife likes the stock seat much better. Seats are all about the fit, I hope it works out for you. We have been on several 2500 mile trips with the stock pillow top and all was good. I got a really good deal on a used Road Sofa, so I gave it a try. We went on a two day trip, about 275 miles a day and my wife was in misery all the way back home the second day. Earl

If you have all the valves backed off, get a spark hole adapter and with an air compressor, air up each cylinder. You should hear some air leak around piston rings, but no air leak from air intake or exhaust. If you can hear air leaking from air intake or exhaust you have a bent value. Earl

Congrats, that is not an easy accomplishment. The most I have done was 1,080 miles in nineteen hours and I was ready for a hot shower. Happy Birthday!! Earl

Most RSV do not benefit from larger jets. On both my 2000 and my 07, I have got better mpg by lowering my metering rods .040 to .060 of an inch. Earl
