  1. Tuftom4 has a right to form an opinion about Harley riders from his experiences with Harley riders he has come across. Ofcourse not all Harley iders are snobbish cause many of them won't wave back at you, but cause of that kind of attitude some of us form some kind of resentment towards Harley riders, and I for one, never initiate a wave if I come across a Harley rider, and I will never go over to Harley guys to strike a conversation at coffee stops, but I feel comfortable to go over to any non Harley riders. Of course I have very good friends thatride Harleys. So please no one tell me I am wrong in my thinking....yes, I do judge people by their appearances and their behavior.
  2. Did test ride once few yrs back. Engine heat cooked my calfs and groin hurt from the wide legged sitting stance. Was a thrill, though, riding it. Was 2 speed auto transmission. Too pricey. Was about 40 or 45 grands, then.
  3. Was just implying that Carl should have asked u about your sleeping habits...you know....some people like to sleep nekid...
  4. I would have one more question for the Rooster, Carl......unless you don't mind someone sleeping with you in the same room nekid???
  5. Sorry to hear about this, Wayne. No...never mind the brother in law...............THE BIKE! My ......i mean.....the pretty bike! Hope you can make it pretty again, like it was. This IS sad to hear, but these things happen, man. These bikes are monsters and i would be very wary to lend it to any one, who has never rode one before. Hope and wish you find all the parts you need....and believe me, i know how you must be feeling about it all.
  6. Happy Anniversary to you guys..
  7. Nice bike, John...looking forward to see it in person.
  8. If one likes to go riding often,we got no choice but to join some local clubs.Unless you like riding alone.i have joined 3 local clubs and i have a choice of going riding at least a couple of times a week. Rides are posted on their sites, and i just pick the one i like, and just show up at the meeting point.Have met lots of wonderful people and made some good friends. Lots of fun with fellows who like riding like you do. stopping at Coffee shops...yeah, u all know what i am talking about...and lunching at small town restaurants etc. We have a good bunch of people in and around Ontario...Bongobob being one of them, belonging to Ventureriders, and we do meet a few times a year during season, as well as off season...thanks to people like Carl and Ben, who usually take the initiative. The annual Marcarl meet is the big one we always look forward to....A NOT TO BE MISSED ANNUAL EVENT.
  9. Too late for that, Fly....we've blown all the snow out through the back door....those leaf blowers work real good with snow too. Been quite clear lately in our area, though still a bit chilly. Was out riding yesterday, and have been out almost 6 or 7 times in March. Hey, videoarizona..we will be thinking of you when it gets too hot for u guys middle of summer.
  10. Thank you everyone, again...and special thanks to Ben and Carl who took some time off their daily routines to attend the funeral services. Meant a lot to me and i was touched by their presence...representing the Ventureriders. Abdul.
  11. Thanks Brian/Sherryl....i appreciate that...and everyone else, of course.
  12. You right Bob...her and Becky had bonded real good and they wouldnt stop chatting whenever they met.
  13. Thank you all.....Funeral/Viewing is tomorrow, Thursday in Toronto at 695 Middlefield Rd. If anyone is in the area, please drop by. There will be lunch later on in another location at around 3 pm after the burial ceremony. Again, i appreciate everybodies comments and condolences. Abdul ( Chabicheka).
  14. I sure hope so, Dan...some of us need all the prayers we can get.
  15. Am not good at these things, and sometimes wonder if anyone is listening to me when i pray, but i like what Dave said... and sure hope things work out for this person. Just remember, the family here is rooting for you.
  16. Hello everyone....I am sorry i wandered away for a while, there. But i dont think i went a day without checking out Venturerider.org. and how the family was doing. Too many good friends here. Ben (Saddlebum) never let me out of his sight, the gentleman, that he is. His and all the others concerns for us really touched me and here i am. Don's ( the Boss) gesture to offer me free membership thinking i was hard up for cash really moved me and how could i not come back? Thank the guy above, we are financially sound and have no such problem, besides my dear wife being seriously sick.....with 'C' the dreaded word. Please dont anyone feel sad or sorry...its the way things sometimes go. Just keep her in your prayers that she doesn't suffer too much. Hey XV1100SE....the only part of your suggestion i liked was the COFFEE part. I will NOT accept any funds nor flowers! They wilt in a couple of days anyway...but thanks for the thought, buddy. Looking forward to catch up with you all from where i had left. Abdul (CHABICHEKA) for those that need translation...its Chubby Checker. : )
  17. First Gens not In there cause printing machines weren't invented then.
  18. May your BIL rest in peace.
  19. Very easy for this to happen with these bikes, Wayne. One of the reasons why i got rid of the bike. Am not getting any stronger due to ageing and these things are not easy to handle when you are riding slow or trying to stop...especially if there is some sand or gravel on the road. Glad to hear you two were okay. Take Care.
