  1. Now @cowpuc you best be behavin yourself over there. Don't make me load up a batch of that 60° snow just to keep you from hurting yourself.................
  2. I would bet that it takes a lot more than 10 lbs to lift Tweeks off the side stand. Just don't go blowing a gasket on all of that nice sewing work you had done. It is still pretty early. Now you best be behavin yourself over there. Don't make me load up a batch of that 60° snow, that we had discussed earlier, just to keep you from hurting yourself.................
  3. I am always a day late and a dollar short. There weren't even any crumbs left in the chat room.
  4. Well I went to visit the doc again on Monday. He said all is looking good. The swelling and fluid buildup are nearly gone so there will be NO harpooning needed. Whew........ He did give me a post dated full release for next week Wednesday to go back to my normal routine of causing trouble anywhere I can. Woo Hoo, Now where to start???????
  5. I so love messing with phone scammers. My record to keep one on the line is 38 minutes. I figure that is at least 38 potential victims that were spared from getting scammed. I am thinking about taking my phone number off of the "Do Not Call List". It is my own opinion that the scammers are using the do not call list as a list of known good numbers for them to call. I think I might get a few calls from legitimate companies that actually use the do not call list for its intended purpose and less calls from scammers. It was just 2 weeks after I put my cell phone on the do not call list that I started to get lots of scam calls to my cell phone.

Here is a link with some more links in it if you read all of the responses. There are links to sever semi scientific studies done. https://www.quora.com/What-happens-to-the-bullet-if-a-gun-is-fired-vertically-upward-from-Earths-surface. The one main theme is there are just way to many cases of injuries and death from celebratory fire "straight" up.
  7. That should do the trick. You can use the part that mounts there to help accurately mark the hole location.
  8. Great news Puc, I am sure you will be back out CTFWing in no time. But go easy on the rehab, you don't want to break anything and have to in for any warranty work and get to start all over. Just to tease you I will send some warm air and sunshine over the big pond this week. Maybe you can take the tractor up and down the driveway and pretend you are blowing .
  9. Fry them up with some taters and gravy.................. Or just teach your dog that they are delicious. I have a 90lb dog that will fly thru the house, moving furniture, chasing them small quick furry snacks. Just don't get in her way.......... It can hurt.

A round fired straight up will come back down with around 50% of the energy it headed up with. Depending on just how that variables of caliber, bullet weight, sectional density, ballistic coefficient, muzzle velocity, twist rate, temperature, humidity, wind, barometric pressure, and density altitude, all interact with each other, and on the bullet. There are documented cases where someone has died from a bullet fired very nearly straight up. Of course the closer to level the more the chance of lethality.
  11. There is no state in the USA that has never been snowed on. I am guessing that Canada does not have many, if any, snow free places either. .
  12. Cool, that is only 425,000 $20 bills for the ATM to spit out. I'll be glad to come help you carry all that.............
  13. Yes they are a PITA to get to. It is even more fun getting the valve covers back on without damaging your NEW gaskets.
  14. Our ECUs do not have a known issue with caps, BUT there is a well documented issue with 8 diodes on the PC board, If any one of the diodes fails it will fry the main processor and since that processor is a programmed chip and there is no access to the program on it, it is then irreparable. The diodes give no warning of getting ready to fail. The diodes fail due to corrosion, they can be visually inspected, if they show any corrosion they need to be replaced ASAP. This is not a difficult repair to do, but every first gen should have it done to prolong the life of the ECU.
  15. Gotta love when a plan comes together. Now stop flashing us, my eyes are burning.
  16. If your bike can not sit for a full month without the battery going dead, there is something wrong, find it and fix it.
  17. Hey Cowpuc So very glad to see most of you back with us. Hopefully all the nasty stuff is gone, PERMANENTLY. I hope you have your Roll Reversal, Strange Change machine all wound up to be able to convert from Wile E. Coyote back into the Road Runner that we all know is the real you. I can feel for your plumbing issues. It always takes me a full week to get things moving after those crazy docs get hold of me. Monday morning I get to see doc and am hoping for a full release to allow me to get back to causing ALL of the trouble that I am so well known for. I am sure you will be hot on my heels and back to conniving to do some sabotage in no time at all. All Your buddy Dan was able to do was to cause a reset to mess on you.......... Just remember that I am holding some of the "Worlds Best" Hot Dogs and fresh frozen Custard just waiting for you to show up some day. Prayers still heading up for you and your family Buddy.
  18. AGMs also do not like being drained dead. No battery does like it but AGMs are real bad with it.
  19. If there is still some drill bit or screw left in the hole it has to come out before welding. Molten aluminum and molten steel do not play well together. The welding arc will melt all metals. Best way to clean it out without further damage is to set it up in a mill and plunge the hole with a center cutting solid carbide end mill, go very slow so that you do not break off the carbide end mill, carbide is real hard to get out of the hole.
  20. Even though you do not specifically mention it, I assume that you do 1st gen seats also?
  21. You might want to track down @dingy on the V-Max forum. He was the one that was selling them here and has the needed info.
  22. If you have access to TIG welding, that is the very best option. Face drill and tap and you are good as new. Just watch the heat so you do not get an ugly heat spot on the other side. Next choice would be a Helicoil, but it looks like you may already have opened the hole up to far for that. In this application I would not trust JB Weld. If that screw fails it can be very expensive.
  23. Might have had a lot better luck backing out the shoveled part of the driveway.
  24. You had the first one done and I had the second one done. Mine has also been flawless.
  25. You are aware that at this time, of the 50 states, there is only ONE that does not have SNOW on the ground at the moment. That one is Florida. But theirs is coming.............
