Clintons home state is now NY. Because a poll told her to live there. The big theme on the radio this morning was "Is Polling dead?" EVERY poll had Clinton winning, Here in WI every poll had Finegold winning. Nearly every poll got it wrong. I hate hearing about polls constantly. I sure hope they are dead.

A lot depends on how properly the powder coat was applied. Was the surface sand blasted to give some tooth for the powder to hold onto? If it is a real good quality powder and applied correctly it will be very hard to remove, If it was cheap powder or not cured correctly it is much easier to remove. Sooooooo You have anything from a not to bad of a job to a near disaster. I would try cleaning a small inconspicuous corner to see how the job was done before just diving in.

Since you made sparks, check for blown fuses.

If you are going to use gold bullets then you are most likely casting them yourself, and most likely loading them your self, which means it is easy to work up a load that will keep pressure under control. Silver is closer to lead in weight and is much more readily available, and much less expensive to stockpile.

I actually like the daylight saving time better than the standard time. I wish it did not change back and forth but would stay on daylight saving time year round. I always go into depression in the winter because it is dark when I get to work and dark when I leave work. If it were daylight saving time year round I would at least see the light on my way home from work. When I get depressed I tend to take things out on others Especially ol @cowpuc

IF the v-max cams will fit the 2nd gen heads, it would still help power, not as much as the bigger valve plus the bigger cam would do, but still better than stock. I have no idea about the carbs. If you have access to someone that can do machining for the speedo pickup the the rear end would also give a better gear ratio, or just swap in the gears.

I don't think these are meant to be a toy for the kids to play with after it is built by you. I think it is supposed to be a fun project for YOU to build and then set up on a shelf to look at and spin the mechanism once in a while just for giggles.

My three vehicles have fairly simple names. the truck the car the bike OK so I aint real creative. At least the dog managed to get a name other than the dog, She is Molly. But then the fish are just the fish.

Well since the lights do not dim at all then it is not the battery connections. It still could be the connections to the solenoid or the starter, but odds are it is the contacts in the solenoid.

When you say "no start", do you mean it cranks but does not start, or does it not crank at all.

This thread is good timing. I was just stating to look for a new laptop to give my 15 YO laptop a much needed rest. I was going to get a win 10 machine, but have now decided that I will get a Win 7 pro machine. I still need to keep my old laptop running because it has very expensive software on it that will not run on anything newer than the XP Pro SP 2 that I currently have. To run this software on a newer machine it would take $20K in software upgrades. That aint happening. So my old laptop will hang around for those times I need to use that old software. Now, what to get??????

Like in all of the other versions, does Win 10 have an option to turn off auto update? Every puter I have had I turned off auto update just so that it would not reboot at a bad time.

I have not tried it. My nuts have never gotten rusty, or stuck, they have always been off regularly. It is just the engineer in me leaking out. I am not negative about everything but when the explanation does not agree with the result, my poor little brain thinks something is not right. Just one of the curses of being an engineer and trying to always look at things logically. But now you made me go and do a test. I took a lighter to a lug nut on my truck for the same 20 seconds as shown in the video. Using a digital thermometer the the temperature of the lug nut went up 23.3°F. (Starting temp of nut 72.3°F ending temp 95.6°F) I did not have a candle to handy to work with but I just can not see how this would have made a difference with that little of a temp change and I do not think it was hot enough to melt a stick candle. In watching the video over a few times, when he shows that the nut is tight and he can not get it off, he does in fact accidentally loosen it a bit, watching it full screen on my big monitor I can clearly see a slight movement. The nut does not get hot enough to melt the wax it is the flame of the lighter that is touching the wax that is melting the wax which then drips onto the threads and solidifies instantly with contact. In the interest of science I tried it again with the flame on the lighter turned up as high as it would go (Initial was a 1 inch flame) with the test rerun using a 4 inch flame, much bigger than the video. Starting temp was 72.8°F ending temp after 20 seconds, 101.6, a gain of 28.8°F. Still not hot enough to melt candle wax. Per info from a candle making supply companies website, Candle wax begins to soften at 130°F and is fully liquid for pouring at 190°F, depending on the additives used. I'm sorry, But through some logical testing and measurement, I believe this actually works even less than I did before. But now my curiosity has been peaked, I have to see if I can find some lug nuts (or any nuts) that are rusted on. Melted wax does have a fairly low viscosity and it is slippery so if the nut was actually up to the melting point of the wax it may possibly penetrate and make it come off easier. Just not as easy as this staged video represents.
