OK I did the carb sync on my bike last night with the new carb mate that I posted about. I have never done this before so it was a learning experience for me. It was not as hard as I was making it out to be. I synced the 1 and 2 together then 3and 4 together, and neither one was out much but then when I synced 2 and 3 together it was out more than I expected. But after getting them adjusted I went thru and checked it all again and it showed to be good. I could tell it was running better but this afternoon I took it out for a test ride and I must say I was amazed at the difference it made, so much more pickup than before. So I do believe this carb sync machine does its job and it's very easy to use.

Are you talking about the gap on the sides that overhangs the fairing? I don't remember any tabs on windshield broken??? Are you talking about the tabs on the bike? -
I ridden by that place many many times and never stopped to eat. I will have to try it someday. If you could let me know when your going on a short ride on Saturday or Sunday afternoon I would like to meet up with you and learn some new roads. I'm not real familiar with the west side of the state, but have ridden over there quite abit. I wanted to go with you on your trip up the Trace but didn't work out.

I was reading on line about how to sync the carbs and that is how they said to do it. 1 and 2 together then 3.and 4 together then do left bank to right bank together. That's why I ordered it. i like digital stuff but the one in the thread above is not on market yet. Would probably get one when it does. You can get an adapter that has four hoses to hook to it but was going to try this first.

I know there is different opinions about this but when I bought my 2006 RSV the PO was using a synthetic oil and I could hear the whine in the bike on the way home really good. After I got it home and had to replace my stator so I decided to ask my dealer about the whine and he said to use Kawasaki oil in it and it would help with the noise. So that's what I did and I really didn't hear It anymore after riding it for several miles. Since then I have put a stock muffler back on it and you have to be listening for it to hear it. Just my experience.. My local dealer sales Yamaha and Kawasaki bikes. He also said he uses Kawasaki oil in his personal vehicles. I haven't done that yet but he seems to like that oil. I have one the came off my 2006 RSV. I needed a shorther one. The one I took off is not scratched and its wider than stock OEM. It needs. Good home if your interested send me a PM.

When you say mine isn't working are you agreeing that it's not reading the right RPMS. That's what I'm trying to find out if it's on wrong setting, that's why I need to know how many RPMS the bike should be at idle and let's say at 50 or 60 mph.

Ok I have bought similar to one like this and it has a adjustment as far as how many pulses per revolution. I have it set so that at idle I'm turning 1000 RPMS but when I'm running at speed of 50 mph it says I'm turning 1500 rpm, according to the charts I looked at on the other sight they show that I should be turning close to 3000 rpm , so wanting to find some kind of tach that I can check the accuracy of this unit. How many RPMS does your unit show your turning at 50 mph?

What I'm looking at is when you are checking the charging system they say to run the RPMS up to 5000 without a tach I don't know what I'm turning, just wondered if there was a way to check, also to set idle RPMS. I know I can install a tach but not wanting to spend that much right now. If some one knows of a cheaper tach I would be interested.
