  1. I bet Cowpuc will have some kind of translation. It may be jibberis but at least he can translate:banana:
  2. So one Sunday this past year I decided to go on a little ride on some roads not many miles from my house but I had never ridden on these rode, so I was checking them out for future rides. I normally have my GPS on my bike but for some reason I left it at home. So I was riding and had made several turns down some country roads and came to an intersection where I needed to either turn left or right, so I stopped and turned off my bike to pull up my GPS on my phone to see where in the world I was at. So I decided to turn left and see where this would take me. So I turned on my switch, pulled up my kick stand and pushed the button to start the bike and it did do anything. I checked my light on instrument panel, all was good made sure it was in neutral, made sure I had kickstand up still push button and nothing. I was thinking all kinds of possible issues, even thinking who I could call to come get me but wasn't sure how to tell them where I was at. I tried 8-10 times to start and wouldn't even try to turn over. I sit and looked at my bike several times over then there I saw the problem, I was pushing the cancel button for cruise control instead of the starter button. Now that's not ever going to work.
  3. Had seven bikes leave out on a 240 mile ride today. When we left it was 30 degrees it warmed up to 60 before we got home. We went to a place to eat that I had passed by a few times but never stopped. The food was great and it was a neat place, it's what you would expect in the state of Tn. The name of the place is called "old Delina country stor". Here are a few pictures. I bet @Eck knows where this place is.
  4. My yamaha dealer told me to use Kawasaki 20/50oil. He said it would help. When I bought the bike used the previous owner used a synthetic oil and the whine was very noticeable, I changed to the Kawasaki oil and now I don't even here it unless I'm trying to listen for it. I can hear it when it gets close to oil change time but goes away after I change the oil.
  5. I had the 2004 volusia 800 which is the same as the boulevard C50 had it for 10 years never had an issue, sold it with 84,000 miles on it. Only put tires and one battery the whole time. I loved that bike. Hope you have a great experience with yours also.
  6. I don't think their would be any riding it, it would just be hold on for dear life!!!!!
  7. I can hear it now!!! "Hey Watch This" as ECK says this to his wife
  8. When you said you was going in a westward direction then you could have came thru the towns I listed and about 8 to 10 miles out of town you could have been on what's called now hiway 64, it follows a river called the Ocoee river around thru the mountains and it does have some curves that the rocks overhang the road in some areas. These two towns are the only ones I know of that has the state line drawn on the road. Some others that live up that way may know some other towns that meet that discription. You know that was 22 years ago and roads have changed since then.
  9. Could it have been the town of mcCaysville GA, and copper hill TN. And then you would have gotten on the road going down to a little cross roads called Suches GA? That is some good riding also if you've never been there.
  10. This one of the pictures I have from the camp ground we was at. Glad you and your wife had a good ride, And made it home safely. I did think about you on Saturday when we where in Murphy NC. I knew you was up that way and I was looking for a Goldwing that might be you.
  11. I was up that way this weekend camping at Indian Boundry. We was not on our motorcycle but sure did see a lot of them, made want to go back! Oh wait I'm am going back this coming weekend if all works out. Sure was some pretty colors on Cherohalla. Hope you post some pics.
  12. You would have to watch for the Ewoks if you rode one of those, but you might get to see "Princes Leia".
  13. Thought I would post a link to a website that the wife of one of our riders keeps going for us. It has pictures and stuff from some of our rides. I lead some of the rides and then her husband leads some of them. We really have a great group of folks to see the country side of this great land with. Hope you enjoy. http://bikerbuddies.weebly.com/2015-rides.html
  14. Had a great ride today with 7 other bikes. We went to cloudland canyon in north Ga. It was a little overcast this morning but turned out to be a pretty day. A little over 200 miles but we saw some pretty country. Colors are starting to turn but not much.

    2nd time I won

I hear that if your the one on trial you get three meals a day and they put you up for the night in place that no one can bother you . Just saying:smile11:
  16. Well I have had two bikes before I bought the RSV, and I always had to use the Air Hawk when I rode and I swore by the Air Hawk. Then I bought the RSV and the seat on it was the most comfortable that I ever sit on. I had been reading about the Butler seat mod @Rick butler for about four months now, so I decided to give it a try and that's when Rick was unavailable to do seats so when he said he was back I sent my seat in before I changed my mind because I wasn't really sure I wanted anybody to mess up a perfectly good seat. I just got home from my first trip on the new seat, 275 miles today and I must say I'm blown away at what he did to my seat. It's not only comfortable but it's like I'm sitting in the bike instead of sitting on the bike. It was a very comfortable sitting position, he some how lowered my sitting position so now I can touch the ground so much easier, it doesn't feel as top heavy as it did before, and I'm sitting against my back rest in a better position. I must say if your thinking of having this done to your seat, do it, it's worth every penny. My wife even likes that she can see over my head now when she rides.
  17. Glad your getting better. When I was a kid I could just look at poison ivy/ oak and I would get it. My mother always would rub Whiskey on the areas that was affected and it would be gone by the next day. I've used this method with my kids also. I never tried to treat it internally.
  18. :Venture:we need an update on your new bike? Is it what you where looking for? Pics, Pics, Pics:photographing:
  19. Swap helmets to see if it's in your speakers or in her mic. Also when she talks can she hear her self?
  20. I had the VL 800 also, same bike just yours is FI. I bought it new in 2004 adjusted the valves on it one time and sold it last year with 80000 miles on it, still running like a charm. Keep oil changed and tires on it and ride it like you like it. One of my favorite bikes before getting the Venture. I used the Air Hawk seat cushion on mine and could ride over 300 miles a day with no problem.
  21. That is a nice looking scoot you got there. I ride with a couple that's had one of those bikes for 10 years and he loves it. I believe you made a wise decision on getting that bike, it's not as heavy but has plenty of power. Hope you get to put many miles on her.
  22. I love riding up in that area also. And a big WAR EAGLE to you my friend.
  23. So I guess he's not a member HERE then is he?
