I'm sure that was a shock! I didn't know companies could do that without going into bankruptcy and the judge deciding it must be done to save the company.

We bought our cruise tickets on line and there was no mention of tips being charged by lump sum when I bought the tickets. So, I was a little surprised when I was expected to pay tips on drinks. And I didn't really know what I saved by selecting the "no tip" option until we disembarked. Seems to me they could have been more up front in explaining the charges. But, we had a great time on the cruise and enjoyed the side trips at a couple of the island stops. It was a win. I'm glad we went.

I really enjoyed my cars back in the 60's and 70's. The last time I pulled the engine out of my 65 Chevelle, it only took one hour from running to hanging free. But, the new cars are superior in almost every way, power, economy, handling, comfort, braking, longevity, everything. Well, my 59 Impala did have that large bench seat with plenty of room for me and my girl friend to get frisky......

Our one cruise was from Miami to the Carribbean islands with Norwegian. I had never really wanted to go on a cruise but I was pleasantly surprised. The ship had lots of entertainment and we were never bored. The crew mostly foreigners such as Phillipinos worked very hard to keep everybody happy. At that time about 3 yrs ago, they were giving some choices such as free drinks or no tips required, and maybe another choice. I chose the no tips option. But, I was still expected to tip for drinks etc. At the end of the cruise (5 day) they were charging everyone over a hundred bucks for tips when they checked out before they got off the boat. I didn't have to pay that fee.

Yep, over your lifetime, you can save a fortune by buying used vehicles and used homes instead of new.

Yes, corporate managers are there to make sure the company makes a profit. If companies are moving to Mexico, it's the governments job to change the corporate environment to keep them by using tariffs, incentives, etc as much as it makes sense. We finally have someone in office in the USA who recognizes those facts and is trying to do something about it. Being able to buy stuff at a lower cost doesn't matter that much when you don't have a job with income.

Do you have a campaign slogan, like "Make Gassaway Great Again" or "Stronger Together" to put on the card?

And I heard on tv that the record cold for Chicago was in 1985.

Welcome! And we always enjoy photos of owner's bikes! Hint! Hint! -
Drain the tank. Refill with fresh gas and a bottle of Gumout with PEA. Run it a few minutes every day for a while and see if it clears up. If not, the carbs will have to be removed and cleaned.

Ford 3.8 & 4.2 old intake problem back to haunt 1996/98

That was a nice looking truck. Probably enough damage to total it. -
Where can i get parts cheep
BlueSky replied to rbig1's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I usually buy my OE parts from partzilla.com. Aftermarket fork seals can be bought from ebay or amazon I'm sure. I've used AllBallsRacing fork seals in my Kawasaki. -
So you're saying it doesn't cut off due to low demand when you are taking a shower causing your shower water to run cold?
-
Ahh, just make sure you get your shower first:big-grin-emoticon:

I bought my 500lb ZN700 when I was working a contract job in WI in order to have a hobby while there. The job which was supposed to be a long term job ended when the plant ran out of money and management wouldn't give them any more. So, I was going to dump it on craigslist for whatever I could get for it. But the wife says bring it home. I want to ride it with you. So, I bought a $600 trailer from Lowes and brought it home. Then she didn't want to ride more than 45mph on the way to the beach in a 55 zone. I refused of course to ride slower than the traffic. So, then she decided the seat was too uncomfortable anyway so she wouldn't ride with me any more. So that my friends is why I bought the 89 Venture, to get a bike with a comfortable passenger seat. Then I had a bad habit of looking at bikes for sale on craigslist and the 07 Venture was too good of a deal to pass up....... Since then, I have quit looking at craigslist...... My wife has not ridden with me on either one of the Ventures:crying:

I drove a Mark VIII for 7 years and I loved that car. It had its faults and quirks, but overall it was a car I enjoyed driving every time I got in it. Good Luck with the "new" one!

I don't know if that would work. My only experience with an "On Demand" gas hot water heater at an apt I rented for a contract job was not a good one. I had to turn on the hot water at the sink in order to create enough demand for the heater to stay on and keep my shower from going cold. It probably would work because you only need it when there is a large demand and that is when it will stay on. Interesting question?

Pushups maybe from the knee, situps, and squats don't require a gym and it's a good way to get started. I do those plus I've had a total gym for about 20 yrs that I use to do pullovers and arm curls. I only do one set 3 times a week. It helps a bunch.

Maybe a lighter motorcycle? Maybe an exercise program?

Seems to me I remember you saying when you finished the last repair that you would pay a professional next time........

Yeah, according to an on-line police bike test I read some time ago, Harley says it's acceptable for the oil to get as hot as 400 degrees F! I agree with Puc that the high temps of the air cooled Harleys is the reason for the 50w. The water cooled bikes had a high oil temp spec of about 260 degrees F.

In past times, auto oil may have been okay to use in bikes. But the newer oils are not the same. If you start a new/reman flat tappet auto engine with modern oil the cam will most likely be wiped out requiring another rebuild. Special oil is required for the startup an break-in of a reman flat tappet engine. This makes me wonder if it is not the best oil for high revving motorcycle engines. Another thing a guy who works in an oil company lab posted on the F150 forum is that synthetic oil will not stick to engine parts after shutdown. All of it will drain to the base. Something he referred to as a "tackifier" has to be added to synthetic oil to correct this. Otherwise an engine will start up without proper lube if it is allowed to sit for a long time. I remember Flyingfool speaking of Valvoline oil. As I remember he stated he will not use Valvoline motorcycle oil again because rust formed on the top of his engine after sitting a long time. So, I think I will use conventional oil in my bikes in the future, especially the water cooled ones. My smelly opinions:icon_lurker:

This week when I was in Walmart, I looked at Quicksilver oil. Walmart only had the marine oil which did not have the Jaso spec on the bottle. I will not use non-Jaso rated oil in my bikes. Rotella T4 and T6 have the Jaso spec on the bottles but not the T5.

Good to hear from you. I keep thinking that "bikeless" tag will disappear but not yet!
