  1. I took a lot of Spam sandwiches to school for lunch when I was a kid in the 50's. My Mom would fry slices a bit to make the sandwiches. Dang, I'm old!
  2. Yeah, they sound great! Good sound without being obnoxious.
  3. If I remember correctly, Spam was one of the canned rations the military ate during WWII.
  4. Yep, the RSV trunk rack is rated for 10 lbs max load. My 07 RSV's trunk rack still has the sticker with the 10lb max load rating on it. The top to bottom "feet" on both sides of the rack are connected by a metal strip.
  5. I've read that marking the nut position to the pinion housing was a good way to retorque. I haven't had the pleasure yet on my 02 F150.
  6. Those vents don't tend to hold up well. It will be hard to find some for sale that are complete and working. My 89 has two perfect ones, but I ain't selling! Ha!
  7. What procedure did you use to retorque the pinion nut?
  8. Talk about no excess design margin!
  9. I remember now. The 4.2 is an excellent engine after the 97 and 98 editions.
  10. The additive is only about $6 I think, less than $10 for sure. I put valvoline 75/140 in my 9.75" rear diff without the additive because it says on the bottle it is to be used with traction lock or something to that. The traction lock was trying to lock up a little too soon but it didn't make any noise so I didn't go back an add the viscosity additive. Mine now has 152k miles on it. What engine does your truck have? If it is the 5.4, change the oil often. they are infamous for VCT problems.
  11. Many owners after installing progressive springs do not add any air to the front forks. Perhaps just a schrader valve for the rear (and front if preferred) is all that's needed.
  12. I read on a F150 forum that the only fuel injector cleaner recommended by Ford is Chevron Techron. Don't know much about diesels. Supposedly Seafoam is bad for the cats. And I would not ever put Seafoam in the engine oil.
  13. Yep, very important. That is why you have to be careful with a toy hauler. Adding weight to the usually rear of the trailer could induce dangerous sway. I was working with this engineer in FL. He thought he was a lot smarter than he was. Anyway, he hauled a load of household furnishings back to his IN home with a uhaul trailer and he was complaining about that terrible uhaul that would start swaying if he got above 55mph. I had to break the news to him that it was his fault by not putting enough weight on the tongue. Geez, I disliked that guy!
  14. Our current President said what he would do and he's doing it to the surprise of the deep swamp as much as the deep swamp will allow him. They are fighting him every inch of the way.
  15. I'd have to do a TSA patdown to be sure!
  16. the guy is nekkid from the waist up. The girl is nekkid from the waist or close to it down.
  17. I'm surprised you got 32mpg with the idle mixture screws set at 4 turns out.
  18. The only cure for "New Bike Fever" is a new bike! Congratulations! I hope you enjoy many exciting, safe miles on it!
  19. When I woke up this morning, I remembered that I had not seen my RSV keys for a couple days. I foolishly have been keeping both of the OE keys on the same ring so if I lost them I'd be up the creek. I usually keep them in the lower left pocket of my cargo pants or hiking shorts. I checked my desk drawer where I usually keep extra keys and they weren't there. I checked the pockets of the shorts and pants I've worn lately dirty and clean and no keys. I then went out to the garage and breathed a sigh of relief. I had left them in the ignition! It has taught me a lesson to not keep both keys together so I can't lose them both at the same time.
  20. For those of you who have HBO, they have the series "Pacific" available to watch. It's about WWII in the pacific theater. I've watched 3 episodes so far and I'm really enjoying it. Extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and maybe a devine hand, allowed our forces to defeat the Japanese who had much far more ships and planes (in the beginning).
  21. I'm not quite that cynical. I could name a few whom I think care about the country but that would be too political. I could also name a bunch who only care about staying in power. On another note what is going on in AZ and FL really makes you wonder.
