  2. OK does anyone know of a good place to buy tires in Canada:snow2:. I am getting tired of getting ripped off for the price we have to pay up here in the great white north . I am planning on getting a set of Avons for my 07:thumbsup2: I will gladly order from the USA but most places can not be bothered to ship to Canada:confused07:
  3. Thanks guys Now all I have to do is find a hand pump. Maybe I can go to a yamaha dealer and get them to help me out. I do have a pump at home but thats about 800miles away. Thanks again
  4. I was just wondering how much air everyone puts in the rear shock I am driving alone. Normally when I am 2up and pulling a trailer I put in about 45Pounds. Having lots of corners is not a normal option in Ontario but down south here they are the norm. I am driving on the wonderful roads in virginia and west virginia and thought I might expiriment with the pressure to see how it affects the handle.
  5. Hi All My brother and I are taking our wives to Lancaster PA for a weekend in March. While the girls are shopping for sewing supplies my brother and I thought we would do our own kind of shopping. So we are wondering if there are any good bike accessory shops in the area???? It will be to cold for the bikes so we are taking to cars. The girls plan on filling them both up so hopefully there is room for a few bike toys. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Check this site out. These are pricy but they are pretty awsome glasses. A freind of mine wears them and he swears by them. He rides a Harley, no windsheild and says he has never gottten a bug or dirt in the eye while wearing these http://www.panoptx.com/ I mayself have a pair of Maui Jims wrap around polarized and I absolutely love them. Of course they are expensive but my medical at work paid for them. Bob
  7. My dealer told me to take it through 7 heat cycles and during that time rev it hard throught the gears to seat the rings. No prolong steady speed and not to use the cruise control. He suggested the best break in is a combination of hwy and city driving. First sevice is at 1000km (625miles)
  8. Thanks guys One thing I really liked was the light weight of the helmet. I sometimes have muscle tension in my neck and I think the lighter helmet will help with this problem. So I think I will get one.
  9. Does anyone have the GMAX helmet. The 3/4 helmet is very light and comes with 3 visor attachments clear sheild, smoked sheild, and a black visor. The inside seems a bit cheap looking but the overall appearance seems quite good. Any comemts????
  10. Due to a unfortunate incident I need to replaace my 07 venture. I am having a hard time locating a new 07 midnight venture and was wondering if anyone has actually seen a 08 black and silver venture. I looked on the internet and my computer does nothing for the color. Has anyone actually seen 1 in person and what do you think of the color. Would you order 1 without actually seeing one.
  11. Two things you can try are. 1) put a larger foam around the mic this will stop a lot of wind noise. I did this and it helped a lot. 2) Posotion of the speakers is very important. If they are to far from your ears they will not seem to have a lot of volume or quality sound. I had to adjust mine and add a peice of foam behind the ear speakers to move them closer to my ears and after that I was able to turn down the IC to about 12. If you have every used small speahers from a mp3 or Ipod just think of how much better the volume and sound is when they are positoned in the ear properly. Same goes for the J&M Headsets.
  12. I bought 4 tires for my truck from Costco and they filled them with Nitregon for free when they installed them. I asked about bringing in my bike and the guy working there said if they were not busy he would do it for free. I had my tires installed last fall and I checked them off and on through the winter and had almost zero change in pressure and that was from minus 20 celsius (0 F) to plus 25celcius (80F) I plan on taking in my bike and trailer in before I head out to Nova Scotia in July I think even if I have to pay it will be worth it.
  13. Last year my feet were like a wick. I had on a rain suit but no real foot protection. Everything was soaked to the crotch. I just bought a pair of overboot rain covers. The heel is cut out on them to still give you some traction on your feet. They are made of nylon and will fit in the saddle bags and take up no room at all. Not to sure how they work cause it just quit snowing up here in Ontario last week. Check out the link below. I got them from New Enough. http://www.newenough.com/raingear/over_boots/tour_master/motorcycle_rain_overboots.html
