Thinkin out loud here again (big character flaw),, what if we number coded different catagories of VR Assistance that we were willing to provide. An example: 1 = emergency towing 2 = tools n repair fac. 3 = riding companionship 4 = housing, camping w/ prior contact 5 = camp 24/7 no prior contact needed Than,, each member just plugs in any of the numbers he is willing to help with after his phone number found by clicking on their balloon on the members map.. Sooo,, here goes Puc cruising across the city of Los Angelous,,, 1 A.M. rolls around and he is tired, pulls into MickyDees to flop his tent in the parking lot, pulls out his tablet, checks the members map and notices VentureFar phone number listed as 555-999-0998 1,2,3,5.. It has a 5 by his number and he lives 2 blocks away, Puc jumps back on Tweeks, pulls into VenturFars driveway, parks off to side so not blocking VentureFar in, plops Tent on ground, goes to sleep, wakes up with VentureFar staring at him with coffee in hand, Puc drinks VentureFars coffee while VentureFar calls in sick for work, VentureFar pulls his bike out of garage and VentureFar, Tippy, and Puc go riding cause VentureFar not only had a "5" by his phone number, he also had a "3" by it....

Exactly M6,, well said!! I tried to explain that to a Police Officer one time when he said I ran a red light,, he didnt get it though and I had to pay a fine BUT I KNEW this truth would eventually come out!!

Well now, this is embarrassing,, me making some suggestions for things addressing what you are asking when I cant even tell someone how to locate the info on VR that Don has worked so hard to have already provided.. My apology Don!! Somewhere on here is exactly what you are mentioning Peg only I cant find it to tell you where (still searching),, I did find our contact phone numbers listed in membership lists under "VR assistance" column but I am not sure where the actual VR Assistance page with all the stuff you mentioned is,,,,, I know we have one cause I seen it before and filled it out..

Looks great Fool!! I can definitely see where that will come in handy for moving your bike around in confined spaces,, be able to roll it in behind the White Washer and Snoper and be able to quickly get it out of there if the SnoperCharger blows!! GOOD JOB!!

Indeed!! That T-Rex has been a favorite of my kids for years!! Somewhere I have video of it chasing Tippy too!! The "back yard" area at Wall is THE place to hang out when its 108 degrees - that water spray and free drinking water are a MUST have for survival out there!! We got caught camping on one of the ridges over looking the Badlands years ago, the Ranger who caught us was real nice about it,, just told us of a different spot in the park away from the tourist that we could camp at.. Have been tenting there now for many many years - tucked inside of the park area and dead quite at night - nothing but warm prairie breezes and coyotes!!

Isnt that a little backwards Venny? Shouldnt that read "2nd Gen owners are green with envy"? Lets see here,,, yep,, just looked it up in my official VR Dictionary and under "1st Gen Venture" it says "2nd Gen owners are green with envy"...

This is a really fun thread, thanks for posting this up Raggy! Tip and I wish all you folks nothing but the best in the process of this stuff!! Couple a thoughts that I am curious about.. Has anyone checked into the tax stuff about selling your home and capital gains taxes?? It seems like I had heard that you have 3 years to reinvest the cash from selling your house into another house or ya gotta pay capital gains on it?? I wonder if buying a Motorhome would be acceptable for reinvestment?? Another thought,, there is this place called "The Slabs" out in California.. Its an old Marine base that has been abandoned, buildings all torn down and nothing but slabs of concrete left there.. Lots and lots of hobo's, hippys and kids live there year around BUT,, there is also a HUGE community of snow birds that gather there.. The place is sectioned off in "communities" and TOTALLY free and off the grid.. There are even people who fly there own airplanes out there for the winter months.. If Tip and I disappear someday and go into hiding, that may very well be where you will find us,,, at least during the cold winter months!! It would be fun to have a huge "VR Geezer Meet n Greet" out there in the desert!!
