Kretz Posted August 14, 2019 Share #3 Posted August 14, 2019 & I see they are wearing ALL the proper safety gear! At least he doesn't have flip-flops on!
baylensman Posted August 15, 2019 Share #4 Posted August 15, 2019 I miss the torque of my 86 for sure. Once I learned the throttle position/engine sound combo I could lift the front wheel while rolling in first and second. I also broke a drive shaft LOL. BlueSky Posted August 15, 2019 Share #5 Posted August 15, 2019 Geez! That didn't end well I'm sure. Those bare legs were probably even more bare afterwards!
bpate4home Posted August 19, 2019 Share #6 Posted August 19, 2019 I miss the torque of my 86 for sure. Once I learned the throttle position/engine sound combo I could lift the front wheel while rolling in first and second. I also broke a drive shaft LOL. This is exactly why I fell in love with the Ventures early on. I was able to pull the front wheel in 3rd and then I got to ride one for a summer while a friend was deployed. I took a hiatus after having kids as my wife was scared of an accident. Once the youngest was a senior I immediately when looking for one. bought the Gen 2 and put 70K on it in 5 years before buying the SVTC end of April this year. SpencerPJ Posted August 19, 2019 Share #7 Posted August 19, 2019 That boy needs to have the flying right foot on the rear brake to put the front end down. Probably too late . I have never tried a wheelie on my 83, too much to go wrong, especially that problematic frame issue. My earlier days on a Honda 400 Enduro, great times, I'm thankful to be alive. Dano Posted August 23, 2019 Share #8 Posted August 23, 2019 That's one of the reasons I loved my '84, sooo easy to pop that front wheel whenever you wanted to...also one of the reasons I got the 2nd gen back in'10.....

Patch Posted March 10, 2020 Share #10 Posted March 10, 2020 Looks to me like he was standing on the seat. He likely has some severe elbow damage now. Wonder if he has learnt better;)
