Flyinfool Posted March 5, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 5, 2014 My Sisters Father in law went into the hospital for heart surgery 2 weeks ago. The good news is that his heart is doing really well. But during the surgery his blood pressure dropped really low and caused his Liver, kidneys, and lungs to shut down. They had to put in a breathing tube and hook him to a machine to breath and full time dialysis. 2 days ago they thought he was doing better and pulled out the breathing tube. His throat was so swollen that it was restricting his breathing, so they had to do a tracheotomy till the swelling went down. The numbers on his liver and kidneys are also improving. While they were doing the MRIs and CAT scans to check out his liver and kidneys they found a thin spot on his colon. They said it will have to be repaired but he is way too weak for surgery right now. Today that his colon burst so they had to do emergency surgery to remove about half of his colon. He made it thru the surgery but they already said he will be in the hospital for a very long time. He needs all of the prayers and well wishes he can get right now. Thank you for helping.
