Hi all, sorry for not being here for a while. Life gets in the way with health problems, but all is well now. I did pick up a couple older bikes. One is a 95 Harley Road King with 37548 miles I got from my brother when he passed. the other is a 78 Yamaha 550 that my son and I are restoring.

I wish someone would have talked me out of this, but hopefully I'll get it back together. It's just shop time.

what do you think it's got green stuff growing in the carbs

Bluesky I agree with you, after letting it sit with some seafoam in it I finally got it to rive up but it still will not idle without the choke. I have not tried it this morning but even if it runs I think it will need the carbs cleaned.

Probably need to remove the carbs and clean out the jets. this video shows the jets. And another video showing fuel pump points replacement

Well the new fuel pump came in, I replaced the pump and filter but the still only runs with the choke pulled out and will not rive up at all, goes dead as soon as the choke or the throttle is moved. But I can hear the pump run and shut off when the pressure builds up, the old one never even made a noise.

Good morning to all! Another touch of winter this morning and hopefully we will start to warm back up again. I am tired of wearing my winter coat, but I guess I just have to keep it around for a little bit more. It looks like a ride day tomorrow.

okay I was thinking it was big. I will be in North Carolina in August, I could bring it then or I can see about shipping but would have to find a place since these small towns don't usually have to good of places may have to go to Chelsea to ship it. But I'm probably 25 or 30 miles from Vincent.

Didn't say why. The lower fender is fiberglass and about 2'x2'x8" it's not heavy. If need be I'd come get it. Cost shouldn't matter to him, it's on me.

My wife has an '08 Saturn Sky Redline and my daughters dogs collar snagged the bottom of the lower fiberglass fender and broke the bottom off! This guy in Vincent, Al has a nice fender for it but won't ship it. I was hoping someone may be close by that could pick it up and send it to me. I'd be more that happy to to compensate for time and trouble if anyone could help us.

There's a guy in Vincent alabama that has a car part I need but he won't ship it, I'm 5 hours from him! Any VR members close to there?
