I ran in to Don Harrell (tazmocycle) and his wife Susan at an intersection south of Birmingham while on a test ride after I had resoldered my CMU. They invited me to a local bike get together and when I did they asked if I was going to Vogal. I said "What's a Vogal?" At the time I was a member of The Venturers.
I went to Vogal one and ended up joining Venturerider.org and life has never been the same.

It was thru a search engine.

I actually paid to join "the other one"...but found this one is much better, people are friendlier, and overall just more enjoyable.

I joined another site after buying the RSTD. Then I found this in a search engine. More bike talk, less political talk.
Best site I have found yet. Keep up the good work.

I knew I wanted to buy a Venture so when I went shopping for the perfect RSV I came across your site. I also am a member of the other Venture site but I don't spend much time there. I use it mainly for the tech stuff and compare notes between the sites.
I'm also a member of Road Star Clinic and spend some time there as well but most of my time is spent right here. Thanks for the site
Oh yeah I found your site through an ad on ebay when I was RSV shopping and the motorcycle that was listed there was also on your site so I guess that's how I became familiar with your site.

My brother has a 91 VR that he was always going on about, and he was talking about info on this site. When I bought mine, I joined. BEST $12 I ever spent for sure. The info is great, and it's so rare on the web that a board hasn't been ruined by dumbsh*ts WHO YELL THAT THEY ARE RIGHT or disdain you for not knowing something or sniff that your bike didn't cost $26000 or you don't have all the exactly right $1000 riding gear or that you don't have a collection of $100 black t-shirts.

Bike broke down. Needed help, found the Venture Riders last year, but didn't have money to do anything to join, then found the Venturers, then well here I am on both sites. and well, if you see a John Midnight around. Flip a few coins, and it might be me

About 4 years ago, I started thinking about the bike owned by an old friend who I used to ride with back in the early 90's. It was a 1st gen. Decided to look for one and found the one that I eventually bought after I did a web search and stumbled across this forum. In fact, it is this forum that helped me decide to buy my VR. What a stroke of luck - both finding the forum and buying the VR.

thankfully found last summer through search engines, would have been great to find VRO months prior. The VR was an impulse buy and required lots of tweaking and tlc.

Relied primarily on our local dealer up to that point.

(which in all fairness has a couple of great old school techs)

Actually I did a search and I was told by a member of the XJbikes.com forum, MidniteMax, about this site. I also belong to that form. I don't know if he goes by that here though. This a great forum and I find that this site is fantastic as is XJbikes if you own a Maxim or Secca.
