  1. Can anybody post a picture or give me a thread link showing me where the rectifier is located on my 86VR?
  2. I'm starting to look for a trailer to pull behind the Venture. I've pulled one a lot behind Wings in the past but I sold the old trailer. I'm now looking for a good used one if there's any available. I'm located in Central Ky. Eddie
  3. We will be heading down to Daytona next Sat, the 18th for the day. Were meeting up with "Coach" and his wife Linda from Ohio for some lunch. Any local who wants to make the trip chime in. We used to meet at a place called the Sly Fox on US1 South but it has since closed down. However I saw it was open again under new ownership, US1 restaurant or something like that. Its located South of the Sunshine Mall. Address is: US-1 restaurant 2842 S Ridgewood Ave (US1) South Daytona FL Time: 2PM Located on southbound Ridgewood ave (east side of roadway) If not there then Webbers Steaks is another good place, also on US1. This will be updated later this week.
  4. Is there a "wiring diagram" for the installation of driving lights with a relay somewhere on this site? I have searched and searched but have not located one. I have located a Thread listing several "Tips" but no illustration. Can someone either point me in the right direction or provide a simple drawing showing all the components; driving lights, on/off switch, relay, battery, fuze, grounds (think I've got the all) and how these components would be connected? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Dash display-dead rear unit-dead Not that I'm totaly inept or anything,(once tried to replace a faucit washer and wound up replumbing the entire house). So, where to start?? I've located a CLASS fuse on the print-where is it located on the bike? (86VR) and is it a standerd auto part? Any thing I should be aware of? PLEASE,please --don't say pins-circuit board. pulling U joint out

okay what is the quickest way to jerk this U joint out on the 86's which is located under the rubber boot on the forend of the drive shaft?
  7. ...are not working. I know the one that is located by the rear right passenger peg, where is the other one located at? When I press the horn button, the horn is barely audible. Anyone heard of both of the stock horns going out?
  8. I got both the service manual and the manual on CD and neither explain or give good diagrams to where all the componets are located. I have a 87 xvz13 parts bike and a 89 xvz13 runner. The 89's previous owner was having trouble with the Class unit and put progressive springs on the front, disconnected the air hoses from the pump/???, ran the rear air hose into the right side hardbag and looks to be hooked up to a air canister w/air valve. I want to put it all back to stock, except leave the progressive springs in. I have a good working Class unit and all I need from the 87. I just need to know where everything is located? Reason I'm doing this is because I have a Calif. friendship III sidecar I am hooking up to it. Anyone point me in the right direction?
  9. Garfield on the oil crisis http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=581d97e462&attid=0.1.0.1&disp=emb&view=att&th=118e341e9904b0fc A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country. ~~~ Well, there's a very simple answer. ~~~ Nobody bothered to check the oil. ~~~ We just didn't know we were getting low. ~~~ The reason for that is purely geographical. ~~~ Our OIL is located in ~~~ ALASKA ~~~ California ~~~ Coastal Florida ~~~ Coastal Louisiana ~~~ Kansas ~~~ Oklahoma ~~~ Pennsylvania and Texas ~~~ Our DIPSTICKS are located in Washington , DC!!! ? Any Questions??? NO? Didn't think So. http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=581d97e462&attid=0.1.0.2&disp=emb&view=att&th=118e341e9904b0fc Have a good day!
  10. I would like to infom anyone who is a member of a moose lodge and didnt know (like myself) that they have an organization within the moose called "Riders of the Moose ". After much research our lodge has decided to start a chapter of our own. It is an easy way to start a riding club with existing friends and to make new ones. They also do a pile of charity work for local organizations and Moose heart wich is a orphanage per say located in ill.You should check out the websites. google them "riders of the moose" and "mooseheart". We are actually planning to attend their blessing of the bikes at the end of may .

  12. I've been working on the bike the last couple of days and everything going well. I was putting the gas tank back on this morning and noticed a loose hose that smells like gas. I cannot find where it goes. On the other side it looks like there is a similar hose going to the lowers where the air filters are are located. It feels loose also, I did not pull it out. Can I just slide the hose back into the space or does it connect to something? Thanks:confused24: Everette
  13. Ever see a 2 seat hydaplane a small version of the one with the pontoons on the bottom. Saw some on a trailer the other day and did not get to talk to the driver before he took off.
