I picked up my new bike yesterday and as promised, here a few photos. I spent the day today installing my electronics (GPS, XM, Tach, led brake light), handlebar risers, and highway pegs. I have a few more things to do but I am going to ride tomorrow. If you would like to see higher resolution photos they can be found at: www.traynorphoto.com/07venture Dennis

My totaled '04 Midnight was hauled off by the salvage company yesterday and this afternoon I picked up my new'07 blue/black RSV from the dealer. It sure felt different on the 25 mile ride home. The engine is quieter, not the pipes, but the mechanical engine noise, even at idle. Absolutely no whine from the clutch basket. I had the "I" basket on the '04 and this one is quieter. The transmission seemed to shift a bit smoother. This evening I put the handlebar risers and highway pegs on and now it feels right. Tomorrow I'll work on getting all of my electrical accessories installed and should be ready nice long day ride by Sunday. Oh, and I know the rules, pics will follow tomorrow. Dennis

I was in communication with Gary (Grandpagek) yesterday and he said they were doing okay. They have to be moved by Friday, and he will be without his computer for a few days. As soon as he gets his phone line installed, he will be back up and running. Ann has another Chemo treatment due tomorrow. She is handling them well, but the side effects are bothering her somewhat. As always, regardless of what life hands them, they are still as chipper as they can be, and they wish each and everyone all the best.

Nance and I made it home about 8:00 p.m. tonight with our new bike. First we would both like to thank Squidley & Lonna for going over to see the new toy. Second, we would like to thank Tim(Toyman) & Karen for having a pristine first gen and their hospitality. Nance still has not had a ride on it because she had to drive the car home, but we are going to fix that tomorrow. We are looking forward to riding with all of you again, and we both want to thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers after my crash. Here's the pics.

I spoke with Todd this afternoon via cellphone and he is doing fine! Actually, he's not far from home, after a full month on the road, driving his new truck (very old, actually!) with the Venture along for the ride in the back. We'll likely get a post from him later today or early tomorrow... Terry

I hope all goes well with you tomorrow as I am sure it will. All the best, and if you can not get on to let us know, maybe Leslie can get on for a minute to let us know how it went. Brad

My collector has started rattling and it's driving me insane. How hard is it to remove this little critter so I can take it to work with me tomorrow and gut it? Thanks in advance Ed

Yes...and FINALLY . I received a call today, at 5:50pm, informing me that my bike was ready for pickup. But they were closing at 6pm, so that left me with a wait for tomorrow. I can't wait to get my VR back, and I will touch back here right after I do.
