  1. I have put mine on without disconnecting hoses. It is a pain but it can be done. Patience! You can tap that radiator and put a hole in it!
  2. There is a relay associated with the Neutral/ kickstand switch. When you get a chance, contact the Diamond Cut Guy and he will probably have a relay to sell you.
  3. Recent update. Still has the issue. Her plans are to take it to the dealer and have them look at it. Not my monkey, not my circus. Thanks for all your assistance.
  4. I have been out of town so I will be checking tomorrow to see what has been done and if I need to pull the fairing. Thank you for all the replies.
  5. I have a friend whose 2nd Gen stereo is stuck on CASS. CB will not come on and mode button does not change anything. Volume works great but she is getting tired of listening to the same cassette (or having to change cassettes). Tried to reset it to the point of disconnecting the battery. When the key is on, the display has CASS and you cannot change it. Both seats are off and cannot find any broken wires. Have not pulled the front fairing...YET. Any suggestions?
  6. Saw a Slingshot last Sunday and I know why you wanted one so bad. The trike has been an excellent addition to my stable. My wife and I went on a 200 mile ride yesterday. I will be taking it to Rolling Thunder this year and we are making a few summer trips on it. Congrats on your new ride.
  7. Start the new year right...Start up that motorcycle and give a twist to the throttle. I AM GOING RIDING. It is above 20 degrees and sunny.
  8. Freebird, The ebay stuff is off the new posts section. I did not turn it off because I still wanted to see who wast selling stuff here and on Craiglist. We are all good now. Gues I just needed to reset my computer after the last update.
  9. When I go to New Posts, they show up in the list. Is there a way to sort them to the bottom so that I can read the important stuff first?
  10. I had to weed through all the ebay crap and almost missed that post. Mine is updated.
  11. If that was a boxer, I would have sworn that was mine! I cannot stop laughing!
  12. To all of those that have served or currently serving to protect our great country and the liberties we enjoy, I salute you and I am proud to call you my brother in arms. Enjoy the day! You deserve it!
  13. We have two kinds of riders, those that have gone down and those that will be going down. At least everyone is alive and can talk about it. We have all sorts of parts and painters to fix the bike and that is cheaper than the doctors. Heal quickly and give us a good lessons learned on what to do if that comes up again.
  14. Sorry for the bike but they can be replaced. Not sure if you had it blinged out but you can always buy it back from the insurance company if the chrome is not too bad. I bought one a while back that had all sorts of bling on it. I just about have that off and I have had a few people interested in buying the left overs. That helps support my addiction to buying more chrome.
  15. I put a set on my '09 RSV because my bride would slide on my Russell Day Long seat when I stepped on the brakes. Now, she can change her feet positioning and use the highway pegs to brace herself when I start slowing down. They add to the bling on the bike also. Highly recommend them.
  16. I love the color. They are fun to ride and don't let these 1st Gen people tell you different. They are just jealous of our cassette deck.
  17. My son and I rode from Charleston, SC to Washington, DC (just over 500 miles) and still felt good. This summer we were in southern IL for family reunion and we had to make a 720 mile run home. The seat was excellent! Could use a backrest but for now, I will enjoy it the way it is.
  18. Larry had the best trike and it was such a beautiful ride from Michigan to SC. The first day I rode mostly interstate to Knoxville, TN and spent the night with some friends. After they spent the night drooling on it, I washed the trike and headed to Columbia, SC through a few backroads. The trike was flawless and a pleasure to ride. I have put over 50,000 on my '09 RSV and Larry's bike is going to have similar mileage in a few years. My wife and I will be taking longer trips on it and I plan to have it for all the parades we go to. Thank you Larry and enjoy that Slingshot.
  19. I live in Columbia, SC and we have a group that is standing by to provide any assistance they need. Besides, we want to welcome everyone into out great state.
  20. My bride and I took off yesterday afternoon to visit some various sites around the state and had early dinner at a nice seafood restaurant before heading back to the house. Weatherman called for rain all week but it was not raining when I left this morning so I was back on it this morning. I may get wet this afternoon but at least I am riding.
  21. When I bought my RSV, I bought a short windshield for the summer months. I have the stock one on for the winter and even though I am 6'4", I have to really sit up to look over it. The rain that we get is hard enough that going down the road, it beads up and blows off. The short one is a little harder on long trips but I rode up to PA last summer with it. I wear a full face so I did not get windburn and could hear the stereo/CB/intercom with little effort. Personally, I would not cut it. I am sure there are a number of MSF personnel that would disagree with me.
  22. Congratulations on your son's decision. He is following your lead because you showed him how much fun and excitement you can have and get paid for it. Everyday I look at my son and know that he is outdoing all my achievements and successes. It is hard to let go but he is still in your heart.
  23. There was 4 inches of snow on the ground when I reported to MEPS in Nashville, TN. We took a bus to the airport and flew to Orlando, Fl for Navy Basic Training. My company commander was and Electrician's Mate 1st Class (E-6) and I learned a whole bunch of new words the first day there (most of them cannot be repeated here...lol). My mother said I would be out within 6 months and my sister said they would kick me out before the year was out. 33 years later, They finally told me to go home.
  24. I am starting 2014 with 40,975 on my 2009 RSV. I rode 13,872 miles in 9 months. Broken arm kept me off the bike for the first three months.
  25. I was stationed there from 2008-2010 when I was in the Navy. Greek, Italian, seafood great places that are not chain restaurants.
