  1. Good on ya Switch, I enjoyed having lunch with you the other day at the Meet & Eat in Millbrook. Hope another one comes up soon. Smilin Jack
  2. Thanks Crawdaddy, I really enjoyed the ride, the food and the friends. The video is really good, I can't wipe this big stupid smile off my face. Thanks again to you and Eck for a great time. Smilin Jack
  3. How about The Beetles: Day Tripper, 3 Dog Night: I'm Your Captain, Rightous Brothers: Unchained Melody, Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton: Island in the Stream, or Kenny Rogers & 5th Dimention: Rubin James, Merle Haggard: Okie from Muskogee, Barry Sadler: Ballad of the Green Beret. Yea, I'm remembering some of the best times of life...young, carefree, always broke, and not a clue as to what life is all about! Smilin Jack

  5. Although I agree with those who state that pulling a trailer will not hurt your bike, there is something to be said for honesty and integrity. If you do indeed have a problem with your bike and it could be contributed to pulling a trailer ie: premature brakes problems, electrical problems etc. I think taking your bike to the dealer for warranty work would be deceitful and less than honest. That being said, I think waiting until your warranty has expired may be the best policy, unless you agree to forgo the warranty and take responsiblity for your own actions. IMHO Smilin Jack
  6. I have a 99 RSV with a wide stock windshield and really like it. I've ridden my friend's bike 2004 RSV with the clearview windshield and found for my height 6'1" I tend to be looking through the curve in the windshield. After a short time I begin to get a slight headache due to the distortion of the curve. I cannot say the clearview has better wind protection than the stock for the rider, however, I have been told the passenger feels less buffetting from the clearview. As for J.C Whitney...you get what you pay for. Smilin Jack
  7. I have Krome Werks on my 99 RSV. To me it has a nice rumble and good tone. Most of my riding is two up with helmet and headsets working so the sound doesn't seem to effect communication with my wife. I've heard a few other mufflers on RSV's and the tone and quality just wasn't as good as the Krome Werks. The other thing I liked about Krome Werks was the fact that you didn't have to adjust the carbs, just slide them on, tighten them up and your set. I would recommend that you apply some type of anti-sieze compound to the thread on the attachment clamps. Getting them off without the compound may cause the surrounding air to turn blue! Smilin Jack
