  6. like Dan said its harsher but does the job good for 1 time use then go to sea foam on a regular treatment hopeful that will work for you i have a full tank and just put half a can of berrymans in let it mix for about 5 min then crank the bike and i let it run for 15 min to get the fuel into the carbs i shut it down and let it soak for 4 hrs. and just cranked it up again and ran it for another 15 min this time i had a quicker response out of the throttle now i will crank it one more time let it run for 15 min and then let it set overnight to do its job on the carbs tomorrow i will drive it lie i stole it with the new fuel filter in it the pump cleaned out it should run like a scalded raped ape :fingers-crossed-emo Boomer come get your pygmies they are feed now :rotf:

  10. well we ride around the block for yall to make yall feel better during that white season :322:as for price no i seen a bike up in yankee land they wanted 15,700.00 for a bike 6 yrs old i dont care what bling and mods are on it and that was a dealer price no thank you i got mine for 500.00 running (that is not a type o 500.00)
  11. well if you must tear a bike down and put it back together for some strange and odd reasons i have one you can take your frustrations out on oh you need to be able to do this in one day :rotf::rotf:
  12. it was at hwy 40 and I 10 shell station got some gas at the local store down the road in a gas can that's ethanol free the good stuff it seems to run better on the alcohol free stuff
  13. update after draining the tank 5 times and 4 fuel filters later i had to break down and buy another filter napa 3007 to put on the bike each time i drained the gas the gas would slow to a trickle out of the hose no visable trash on paper type filters just turns to a dingy orange brownish color the napa filter is not a paper fiter i drained the gas thru it and no trash and the gas just runs out those pesty pygmies they had fun jumping from one thing to another first the TCI then #1 coil and now the fuel system cleaned out fuel pump checked hoses relay oh what a mess anyway got the new filter on it took a bit to crank up and run and would only run on full choke then she started to run where i could shut choke off and it not die then i was able to start blipng the throttle next will be a test ride to see what she does i did get a bottle of berrymans to put in the gas tank since i ran out of seafoam that she runs like a dream again
  14. yea right thats what they all say :whistling: :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf: congrats to Mike he deserves it for all the hard work he has put into it
  15. atleast he gave you an option
  16. plan on it tomorrow but i think its those pygmies of Boomers jumping fro one thing to another :rotf:they just got to go :whistling::rotf: but on the bright side im keeping my head up and laughing at all of this
  17. my tank is clean had the sending unit off to fix it looked in to see whats in there everything was good i had help from my son on this and the new filter i had for it wrong type is in the trunk and old filter is back on the bike i will have to find a way to the parts store to get a new filter to put in nearest parts store is 19 mi for me that's a long walk i will put the wrong filter on it and see if i can make it there to get one but that just doesnt feel like it would be the problem having to run full choke to get it to run at 2000 rpm but sometimes it is the simpleist of fixes to get it going again
  18. here here i never served (disqualified from serving) but my father older and younger brother did and my nephew is currently in bootcamp starting his service career my hats off to those who have are and will serve
  19. i thought that changed it its not the one called for but its a new filter i was thinking i got a bad one but dont know how that could go bad its paper fibers what is the correct p/n for fuel filter for gen 1
  20. put tci in everything was great was running smooth went to take a test ride down to the store and back after it has run in the driveway 2 day straight yesterday and today now it wont run unless i have it full choke can some one please tell me what could do this as i have to have this bike running for my 300 mi trip for job interview on june 3rd thanks in advance for every bodies help
  21. StarFan you did a great job i like the color
  22. yes i do the people here are just finominal i could not keep this bike running without every bodies help and knowledge here i LOVE this place and the people in it Thanks Don (Freebird) for making this home for us and our love of these bikes and update i got it running it was slow and hard to crank but once the fuel started flowing she was running with full choke on and only getting to 2000 rpm once she warmed up after running for 10 min like that i was able to take the choke off and could blip it and man did she respond now i have flames shooting out the # 1 exhaust clamp and she was smoking burning off all the build up in there she had to be running on 3 cyl before the tci died also # 1 coil was cracked on the bottom so i plastic welded it what a difference it makes when its running on all 4 just in sound i been running on 3 since i got it and i thought that was normal because it had plenty of power on 3 and never heard one run on all 4 now to finish cleaning the other wire connectors for lights and stuff then put the fairing back together windshield on and ride i should start getting better gas ilage now i thought 35 was the norm for this everybody have a great memorial day i know i will putting the bike back together to ride :cool10:
