Yes it's a sad sad time of year. On the bright side it's a good time of year to do maintenance, modifications, add-ons, and repairs that wouldn't normally get done during riding season.
What I find that works really well is to fill a small plastic water bottle about 1/2 full with acetone. Than I took about4 inches of ABS 2inch diameter pipe and cut it into small pieces and put them in the bottle. Than wait a few days for the ABS chunks to dissolve. I than dip my screwdriver in the bottle and drip the solution into the crack I'm repairing. It takes a few coats applied over time as the acetone evaporates off. BUT be carefull if u apply to much at a time it can melt right through. I have repaired broken tabs on fairing quite successfully and a side cover on my wife's 250 rebel.
I initially did the mod to the oem mufflers but wasn't quite the sound I was looking for. Hopefully I can find something in between this winter. Bike now parked due to the corrosive liquid they sprayed on the roads last Friday:(
I've never used mine either for fear of running the battery down. It's a big bike to push by your self. Although one time I left the key on by mistake and didn't have enough power to turn the starter but thankfully I was parked on a hill. Got her rolling down hill, clicked her into 2nd gear and released the clutch and off I was back down the road again!
For some reason I can only attach 1 picture at a time. This is my friends wife driving the 3 wheeled mower. The front wheel turns 360* so it turns on a dime and gives you 5 cents change.
This is my 1953 massey harris Pony. I plan on having fun this winter playing in the snow with it (although I'm sure my walk behind snowblower will easily out perform it) let's see some of your antique tractors!! I bought this one at an auction this summer
Not nearly enough! I have been working WAY to much this season. I'm a Ford mechanic ( that has nothing to due with being to busy) We lost 2 mechanics so to pick up the slack it has meant allot of overtime.
I'm due again next month. Seems like I just renewed not long ago. Wow does time ever fly. Oh well the $12 is worth it. I don't post much or start many threads but I am on here almost everyday enjoying everyone's posts. Actually tried to start a thread today to show u wonderful people my 1953 Massey Harris Pony but for some reason I can't upload anymore. I suspect it's because my picture file size is to large. I can't change the size on this darn iPad for some reason. Oh well. I would to see your pictures of your old tractors! Rob
