With all these Nov 11 Birthdays I guess more warring factions came to terms than we thought. All kidding aside, to those that gave all so we can all live in peace I bough my head in thanks. Actually now that I think about it you should all be gratefull.....Had my father perished in that war the rest of you would not be so fortunate........to have me as a fellow venturerider...just sayin.

It takes a big person to say I am sorry whatever the reason. I for one am glad to hear that you will stick around. Friendships are hard to make, harder to maintain and oh so easy to ruin. Like I said glad your gonna stay.

To be honest I have not had any issues. Whether I set my fonts, color bold etc before I type or whether I highlight the text and change it after I type it all seems to be working fine. The only thing I did notice if I go back to a post while in the middle of typing a reply I no longer lose what I have already typed like I used to in the old forum.

Nice to know you got to celebrate a survivor rather than to morn a loss for a change, even though both equally deserve their due respect.

Very glad he survived and hope he recovers well ---------huh who did get to eat the deer?
-
Looks like you really got it down to a system -------I'll PM you my address so you will know were to go next.

I have a bunch of good quality head sets kicking around the house that my kids have discarded as they continue to buy higher quality sets. I have been thinking about replacing my J & M speakers with the speakers out of these head sets. Will let you know how it turns out.

Is it just me or does the sign up list not seem as big as it was before the change. It would appear that not everyone is aware that they need to resign on the new calendar.

there were a few flurries on Sat but not enough to call it quits yet. so looks like I may yet have another week or two to ride to work before getting the old truck out of moth balls for the winter. Unless of course they start spraying brine on the road. The stuff makes the road a little too slippery for two wheels and I certainly do not want it to start to wick its way into my wiring. The stuff creates nightmares for wiring even on the so called weather proof wiring.

IF.... He was then he hasn't been around long enough to know the real you.......But then again that should only take about all of 5 seconds or less.

Due to being preoccupied with personal issues I have not really been paying attention to all the posts. I did not realize until today that the header to your post referred to you having an accident. I am very glad to hear that you survived to tell about it and hope you and your wife are healing well.

I am sorry for you and your loss as well as all the others who have suffered losses recently. And again thank you for your sympathy as well

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and words. Today the house really felt empty. I am a dog person and will have another Dog one day as I have always had dogs from the day I was born. However at the moment I am no hurry as I need time to get over Jake as he and I had an extra special bond that with the exception of the dog I grew up with as a kid exceeded that of all My previous dogs.

Yesterday I had to say Goodbye to my old friend Jake. Jake was more than just a dog to me. He was my closest Buddie. Very rarely was he not at my side no matter were I went, unless I was off somewhere on my venture, going to work or flying somewhere. (Although I had plans in the works to build a miniature replica of a horse trailer so he could go with me on some of my venture trips). Even then, as soon as I was home I only got to sit down on the couch for a few minutes, before he would open the closet door collect my shoes and leash dropping them one by one on the floor in front of me as though to say I owed him a walk, because I had gone someplace without him. If I tried to avoid the obvious hint He would grab me by the arm and pull me off the couch onto my feet. If something was not right with one of the grand children or the cats were getting into something they shouldn't He was always quick to come and let me know (guess you could say he was a bit of a tattle tail (tale). I got up this morning expecting him to be at my feet all excited to only be greeted with stillness and loneliness for my old Buddie instead of a wet tongue slap across the face as I opened my eyes, ( I never did figure out how he knew to be there just as I opened them, not a minute too soon nor a minute too late, Regardless of what time I woke up). Later this morning as I went out to the corner store, it felt odd walking towards the truck as I exited the store and did not see his familiar smiling Airedale face looking out over the steering wheel at me through the windshield as he sat in the drivers seat patiently waiting for me as was his way. We had twelve great years together and as is typical with the Airedale breed he was an energetic puppy right up to the last few weeks of his life. Rest in peace Jake I am going to miss you.

Back to Red for Default color. Switch to Blue if you prefer.
saddlebum replied to Freebird's topic in Watering Hole
I too prefer the blue and so switched to it. I just find the blue more relaxing on the eyes. -
I am not a grammar expert so i will just stick to ( believe)

Ok so now I am curious. What exactly is TapaTalk? I see it occasionally pop up as a suggestion when I open the site using my android phone. Normally I just open an internet connection (or use a data connection if I don't have an internet connection available to me). It just functions the same as if I were to use my laptop or PC. So What exactly is it and what are the benefits to using it. I also noticed when I go to the app store that there appears to be either different versions or maybe even different sources Based on how it is spelled (eg: Tapatalk, Tap-a-Talk, Tap a Talk,). So if I were to jump on the wagon to use it how would I know I have the best or the safest one? What are the advantages and what are the disadvantages (if Any)?

Yippe I got the blue back.

Sorry to hear about your loss Scott. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. -
Better yet, I just checked their website and when you click on sponsors, Harley is not even on the list as a sponsor so the they are getting free exposure at Yamaha's expense. Such A Deal!!! :rotfl:
