  1. I did the same thing yesterday here, it was mid 50's and sunny. A beautiful day for a ride. Got about an hour in the saddle before it was time to return home. It was just what I needed! Hoping for many more days like this between now and March when she usually comes out of hibernation.
  2. What an amazing idea! Thanks for sharing, and Merry Christmas!
  3. Let me talk to my buddies wife and see if she's ok with me giving you her contact info. If she is I'm happy to provide it. I also just emailed my wife at work to ask her if she'd talk to you. Hers is very mild, 2.5mm. She doesn't have many issues with it, occasional numbness in hands and a tingling sensation. Dr has repeatedly told her not something she needs to worry about at all, just needs to be monitored annually in case of any changes. I'll get back to you in the next couple of days with any info I can provide. In the mean time, I'll be keeping you in my prayers!
  4. Ironically both my wife and my best friends wife have Chiari Malformations. My friends wife is much more severe than my wife's, she had to have the corrective surgery two years ago and has seen many improvements in her life since then. My wife is monitored with annual MRI's and a visit with the neurologist. My friends wife is pregnant now and expecting a baby boy in March. Best of luck to you! We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
  5. Michael Ballard issued a statement in regards to the future of the Full Throttle Saloon: http://www.bikerspost.com/forums/topic/1741/michael-ballard-issues-press-release-following-the-fire/view/post_id/21237
  6. Wow, I have always been in the camp that leaves it in the on position basically from March to November, only turning it off when putting her up for her winter hibernation. Never realized the potential issues that could occur from doing this. I will have to try and get in the habit of turning the gas off every time I get off the bike. Can't believe how much I've learned from reading the posts on this site, You guys Rock! :thumbsup2:
  7. Has anyone put one of these on their Venture? I really want more light for night riding, but I can't bring myself to spend the money for the Yamaha part. Like the looks of these, and the price is certainly right, but I really want to see what they look like on a RSV before I pull the trigger. Thanks Joe
  8. I ordered a set of the v-twin clamps today. Hopefully this will work out my problems. Thanks for the input guys
  9. I'm questioning whether or not there should be a gasket on my slip ons or not? I know the stock exhaust had gaskets, but when I installed the Baron's slip-ons my buddy who helped me said there shouldn't be a need. Well, last week when checking on my leaky rear shock I was laying next to the bike and reaching under while it was running and I could feel an exhaust leak where the slip-ons are clamped. I checked and it is leaking on both sides right here (wonder if this explains some of my popping on deceleration?) So I went to the tool box and got out the tools and tightened up both clamps as tight as I could get them to pull up, and the leaks are no better. So, this made me wonder, should there actually be a gasket in there? Thanks for your input guys. I'll be changing out my rear shock Saturday, Hagon is in the mail to me, can't wait, but might be back looking for more help! Joe
  10. Slowroll, did you ever end up getting the CYRON light? Curious to your thoughts on it and how it performed.
  11. I'm grateful for this post Squid, as I too will be replacing my rear shock in the near future! Just have to decide on OEM or Hagon. Have to think simply because of the price I will end up with the Hagon, but we shall see
  12. Sent you an email Nanci, I'd be interested for sure if these are still available.
  13. One of the best board posts I have ever seen, anywhere! What an amazing group of people we have here. Truly honored to be among you all!
  14. Thanks Carl. I'll give it a look this weekend!
  15. Carl, I'd love a copy of this file as well if you don't mind sharing! jrb2013 at comcast.net
  16. Heck of a lot cheaper on Amazon Quick Shine 99 Might be willing to try it for this price
  17. Hi Chuck, I am in Whitman on the South Shore and would love to find something in the Mass / NH area as well. I would even be open to hosting something myself but would have to talk to the General before I could commit to anything. I try to do, and enjoy doing, a lot of my own maintenance (oil, coolant, etc), but there are some things that I've never done that I'd like to do (change brake fluid, change clutch fluid, investigate that annoying creaking / clicking from the final drive when I back up) that I'd like to have someone who had done it before there with me so I don't screw anything up too badly. Always looking for someone to go riding with as well, although having two young boys (12 and 13) in scouts, band, dungeon and dragons, track, and cross country make finding time to ride harder and harder as of late. Not to mention the General's honey-do list! Keep me in the loop if you find something, would love to attend. Joe
  18. I second the vote for Jake Wilson, have been dealing with them for years for tires and have never been disappointed.
  19. I have used this product for several years and it is fairly helpful. Not perfect, but much better than nothing in most cases. Great company to deal with. When I first bought it I had a no name brand GPS, I wrote them asking if they had a shade for that model. Guy said no, they didn't make one for my model, but he thought that one made for a particular Garmin would fit. He sent it to me for free, and said if it works for you, send me a payment. Where else can you get service like that!! Good Luck
  20. Ironically enough I just got an email from Contour today. The Roam 2 camera will be on sale 11/28 - 12/1 for $119. http://contour.com/cameras/roam2/?mc_cid=03251e2625&mc_eid=2a877912ce
  21. I have a Contour as well and really enjoy it. Takes a good quality video.
  22. Glad to hear you came out of it mostly unscathed! Sorry about the bike, but the bike can be replaced. Hoping for a quick recovery for you!
  23. That was great! Thanks for sharing
