  1. So whats it do??? Is it different than the cables that connect to a BT GPS and supposedly let you use your phone? I have yet to get mine to work correctly. I can hear phone but the other party says there is tons of background noise and no voice. I have yet to get anyone to give me info on how to use it exactly. I get the pairing etc, just the voice from the bike over the phone sucks no volume and I have not found a way to increase it
  2. I have a pair of the 230 tourmasters on mine now. The rear is close to done. I too ordered a 777. I like the tread patter as it crosses the centerline of the tire so when riding in the rain the water has some place to go. The load rating is very good also. Which has been upgraded since last time I bought tires a year or so ago. I like the 130 front also and will go back to one next time the front get changed out.
  3. I dont remember the manufacture of my risers, but I would think they are all made very similar. It almost looks like your fairing has tilted back. Maybe because of no support. There is an inner mount bracket, maybe split the fairing and make sure all the bolts are on that thing. Other option is maybe go to local hardware store and find something hard rubber. I know Lowes has some rubber stoppers you could measure the gap and cut the stopped and a piece of double stick tape it to fairing. It cant be particularly good for the fairing to be bouncing with no support. I will take a couple pics of mine later.
  4. So what did you finally go with on the thermostat?
  5. Is the rubber bushing/cushion things still glued to the fairing? I had installed a pair of risers on mine also, and noticed once the risers are on because it moves the bars back the cushion things have no support. I think it was Kirby here had made at one time some alum bobbin looking things to fit in the semi circle part of the cushions. I had to drill like a 1/4" hole in the riser kind of where the old bars would have been. Dont know if he has anymore but you could probably use say an inexpensive 9/16 or whatever OD size socket would be right and do the same thing. Heck even a wooden dowel would do it. Just has to mount solid to the riser so the rubber cushion would be supported.
  6. Check with Skydoc
  7. An the Doc wonders why we guys wait u,til last minute or we cant stand it anymore. Glad your OK but with all the panic mode.........
  8. I made a "custom" height one. Best I can tell it is about right height. But in rain and behind trucks it sure dont work as well as the tall boy. Rain comes rite over and hit me just about in the eyeballs.
  9. Yup, I'm Less and less intrigued by the hour.
  10. I think on the card you have to make a folder and call it MP3. Load your music in there. thats how my 765 is anyways. Here is a link to the manual incase you dont have that. Found this info: or I did my 765 soooo long ago heck I dont remember.
  11. LOL yea looks sort of that way dont it. Still no info back from owner. So I'm thinking he ain't that interested in selling. The more I look at it the more cold feet I get. That rear corner really has me wondering. Kind of think its been "lived in" as a main house. SO furniture might be junk too. Good thing is I don't have to have it. I would rather have a Vic Cross Country, but I aint going to find one of those for 4K.
  12. Great White, thanks for info. Yea on that left rear I was sort of thinking the same thing. It looks awfully wavy. I guess it could be where a tarp has flapped on it and marked it up.
  13. After reading the first say 6 or so I was also thinking make it an every othe year thing maybe. Would give folks 2yr to organize and look at rides. I have not been to one but would love to. So far my work (or lack of here lately) has been a stumbleing block. But I can see the travel time folks have to go is a stumbeling block. But no matter where you do it someone has a further trip. We have same problem here in Fla with our meet and eats. Shoot we have folks from Miami to Daytona, to north of Tampa. Maybe on a bi-annual every couple year thing folks could plan it further out for vacation time. We usually plan a trip on the bike 2nd or 3rd week in Oct to the mountians as it has cooled off and sometimes the leaves are nice.
  14. Stay heads up. I don't suppose that would be one of "tax free" zones you get to keep all your paycheck while deployed eh? I remember during Desert Shield we had some places guys didnt have to pay income taxes on pay check. But it sure ain't worth the trade off. Good luck stay safe hope to hear from you off and on.
  15. Ya know sometimes you have to wonder about their thoughts behind placement of things. Like the TV and the furniture. And type of furniture they put in them. Some very very nice like in the Raptor stuff. Others you might as well toss out because they sit like bricks.
  16. Well figure out what they are worth to you. Contact the fellow and see if you could arrange pick up. See if he will sell them straight out to you. Or else just figure what they are worth to you and put in a max bid. It will auto bid up to that point. I have been watching Sena headsets. There are some really dumb people out there. I can find brand new dual headset for about $225 give or take 15 bucks depending on when I look. There have been some used ones come up for sale. And dumb a$$ bid them up more than what brand spanking new ones would cost. I just dont get it
  17. I have I think its a Utopia. It was on the bike when I bought it. But its nice. Can be adjusted some up and down, and a set screw type deal for pushing you forward if needed. I am a little shorter so I had to move the backrest forward to meet me. It certainly is nice. Only draw back is occasionally I get a foot hung up when getting off. Usually I am OK as long as the wife don't try to help me by repositioning the backrest. It will move up into the seat so its easier to get around, until she stands it up in the "ride" position then it just messes me all up.
  18. Some of the same questions I asked. I also said I would like some specs as to weight and tire condition. I think if it has been sitting say a year or more tires are probably junk. I asked about the roof condition and if the tarps were preventative or to keep a leak stopped. Also why is the flooring needing replaced? Old age and wore out or damaged. I have a 3/4 ton Ram with diesel and stick shift but wife says we would need a different truck. She dont like the paint and thinks she wouldnt go on vacation in it. Well that and her dog is 80 lbs and takes up 1/2 the cab.
  19. You want to replace the OEM RSV fairing? Does your radio not work or whats the deal. Maybe give us a little more info.
  20. Hmmmm We have a varmit here with that same name.........
  21. I have been poking around looking at toy haulers. Ran across this 5th wheel. Pretty cheap so it makes me thing what the heck all is wrong with it. The outside looks pretty bad, but that comes from sitting outside down here in Fla. any ideas what and how to clean with? I though someone else had asked a similar question here not to long ago.
  22. E-bay can be your best help. The Kuryakyn are sort of "built" Its peg is one part # the clamp part is another etc. So if you figure what part # you need you can just scour e-bay for the parts separately if you want. Thats how I ran across mine. The clamps were a take off part for less than half cost of new. Here is a pair used. E-mail seller and see what size the clamp is. Worst case you buy a set of 1" clamps.
  23. First thing to start looking at is the connections. Connector at battery all the way down to and including the main fuse and starter solenoid. Ground battery and connection at the engine block on bottom right side engine. Probably wouldnt hurt to get a multi meter and check out the charge system if you can.
  24. I ran into similar issue last fall. Rained and humidity was up so back of shield kept fogging up. I finally had to stop at a Wally World and bough a shower squegee so I could clear windshield.
  25. Allways kind of liked the looks of them. The motors are a pretty solid piece on those to if I remember right.
