When my folks passed, riding the bike was the best therapy I could have ever asked for.

I did not do my valves till 48K and a couple were out just far enough to replace so you are probably good for awhile longer. I used Yamaha of Louisville when I had work done out there so I guess I am no help on the mechanic issue.

It was the ties on the right hand side I don't remember who it was but it took several of us looking at it till someone noticed the tie wraps pulling the wires.

No just something that is not modern one that has some character to it.

I checked it out and it actually looked pretty good. For the last week I have been running the OEM regulator and every now and then it will overcharge for 20 to 30 seconds and then go normal. I got the regulator back from Buckeye that they said tested good but as soon as I hook it up it goes right to overcharging. I even put the one from Buckeye on my other Venture and it overcharges too so I am going to have to say it is bad regardless of what Buckeye says. I think tomorrow I am going to put the OEM one on my other bike and see if it overcharges now and then to see if it may have already had that issue.

I suppose this is what it looks like underground?

Probably coolant from one of rubber plugs in the head, I have had this happen a few times it drips behind the cover and collects on the middle gear case.

I have been buying from them for years, just sent in 2 pairs of headsets for repairs and had them back in less than a week.
