  1. Curtis, we will give you a call the night before we head up to your area and you can lead us on the good roads. We are staying ion Marshall so not to far away
  2. There just seems to be people out there (Mike) whu want to try and stir up things. I am figuring they are just jealous we are going down to Arkansas for 8 days of riding and relaxing. Now let me clear a few things up. First off I have had two calls for interviews for two different positions, in fact one of them I interviewed with today called again tonight and set up another interview for tomorrow. But I informed both companies right up front that the soonest I could start was APRIL 23rd, 2012 because I was headed to Arkansas on a motorcyle trip and they both said that would not be a problem. So Bryan DO NOT start selling Shirley and I's bedroom. DEAL?
  3. it works ........man wouldn't it be terrible if they were right? Perfect weather, cool mornings and evenings setting around the camp fire, can ride later in sleeveless shirt. How terrible that would be.
  4. Thanks Dan, and I love Banjo Music. remember I am from the southeast part of Kentucky down by Prestonsburg. I still have 55 acres there.
  5. There is a grill, We have bag chairs newspaper to start fire............oh wait you have lighter fluid never mind. As for the cabin. I am not sure how far back up the hill it is either by the pics it could be a challenge. If the directions mean anythig it says to turn on big hollow road go to the fork in the road and stay left follow around for a while and your will come to the edge of the woods turn up hill by the wired in garbage can follow up hill and you will find cabin sonner:confused24: or later. here is a picture of the "road" to the cabin http://www.buffalorivercabinescape.com/photos/index.album/the-road-to-relaxation?i=3
  6. I'm thinking for the fishing part maybe all 3 just in case the first 2 do not show signs of success. By the way 10 more days and wake up
  7. I will get with Don and see if there is a way we can have a note pad post or something that we can keep updated.
  8. OH Crap now the home land security watching will be following this thread
  9. I do not know how to do that. Can someone do it for me? Thanks Rick
  10. You do not have to live in the south to be on the south team, and vise versa. I think it will even out anyway since you all have to deal with the north winters to get the capitols as we do
  11. must be members of this board. As for a the team doesn't matter they can sign up for a team after getting the baton.
  12. Separate Batons for each team. Do Not give away your teams baton to t:confused24:the other team

  14. It doesn't really matter which team you are on or for that matter where you live. It would make it a little easier if people were from all over the country on each team. After some thought we need something to pass along that we can keep a record of what date you were in what state capitol, who you are and who you passed the "baton" on to and what location you were at when you made the trade. The object first off is to get all lower 48 state capitols, the 2ND object is to meet as many people as you can while making the trade of the baton. For example, I ride down and get a picture of me, my bike and the baton in Springfield Illinois at the state capitol building. I make a record on the book that travels with the baton as to waht time, date and who took the picture. I then ask would ask someone Lets say I ask Dano from Indianapolis meet me for lunch at Danville, Illinois where as I hand of the baton and record book to him. He then at some point gets a picture of him, his bike and the baton in front of the state capitol building in Indianapolis and documents the time date and wwho was with him that took the picture, or if it was a stranger at least get their first name. He would then ask someone to meet him for lunch say fuzzyrstd someplace and then hand off the stuff to him and then he could go to Frankfort and get the pictures and document it. So forth and so on. After we get this all done I would make a post of how many people were involved on each team and things like that. Anyway let's begin and have a great time. Remember to ask people to help you get the state capitol from states you will not be able to get to. Any questions or suggestions please ask me. Thanks everyone Rick
  15. OK my friend, you are the "Captain" of the south team. Pick something to be the "baton" to hand off to others, It can be anything you want but it must stay the same. I am going to buy a small stuffed animal or a toy motorcycle or something to hand off. Let's go ahead and move this up a little and start as soon as you want to. Don't forget to get the picture and post it and I will keep track of the states each team has gotten done. Ride careful Rick
  16. I can not imagine having a bike in the garage and not wanting to ride it. I have nos suggestions for you other than tell him exactly how you feel and that you need to get out and ride.
  17. OK, Here are the rules for the game. #1 does not matter where you live you can pick a team and be on it. #2 You must take a picture of: you, your bike and the baton in front of the state capitol and post it here. I will keep a spread sheet of each team and the states they have been to and who carried the baton. #3 you will be responsible for finding and meeting up with the next person to carry the baton to the next state capitol. #4 Does not matter what they ride but must be a bike and be a member here. Let's make a start date of April 14th 2012. I will be the captain of the north team and will make a baton for us and get it started. I need a person to volunteer to be the captain of the south team and make a baton and get things started for the south team other than that let's have fun and ride careful. ps.....if you all can think of anything I left out or rules I forgot let me know. Thanks to those willing to play Rick
  18. There is a game going on with the GL1800 group that I thought would be fun to try here. We would need 2 groups (a north and south group let's say) The object of the game is to get a picture of you, your bike and a baton (one like in a relay race) in front of the state capitol buildings in all lower 48 states. The object is to then hand the baton off to someone else in your group who then would ride to another state capitol and get the picture. They would then find someone in their group to hand it to so they then can get another picture of another state capitol. Only rules would be you must be a member of this board, you must pick a team to belong to before you accept the baton from someone and you will be responsible for the baton and to meet up with someone to move it along. Once you decide on a team you can not switch sides. The GL1800 board has been trying to complete the task for 2 years now and I believe we can get it done faster. If anyone is interested in trying this let me know and I will put all the rules and such together. I would also need a person to be "captain" of the other team to get it started.. It would get some people riding and also get us to meet some new people Let me know what you all think . Rick :group cheers:
  19. Where you at Don that the weather is suppose to be iffy?
  20. Scooter Bob made it in ok and we had a very nice visit. It was good to see him again. Wanted to ride a little with him when he left this morning but as luck would have it front wheel is off the bike. He left this morning around 8:00 am to cool temps and sunny skies. Great day for a ride. Ride careful my friend
  21. Remember you are leading do I will be right behind you. I haven't put the tire on yet but will next week sometime. 20 Days and counting.
  22. If you are talking about a U-Haul 5'x9' yes you can. The tail gate gas two different pin locations to lock it up and you will need to use the back one which allows the gate to lean back a little. I have hualed my MM RSV in them a couple of times.
  23. Here are Pictures of Finished Product
  24. I have a couple check your messages
