    I have a new to me 86 and have found alot of problems with the plastic on it, the trunk had peices missing from the bottem where it bolts down, I have been doing alot of research on the net about ABS plastic, i took peices from another broken saddel bag made of ABS plastic and cut them to fit and welded them in with a sodering iron then back it up with fiber glass mat glued it down with ABS glue, time will tell if this will work, but it seams to be strong enought i think it will. You can grind up the abs plastic and use asetone to mix with it and make a filler, just do a search on the internet on reparing ABS plastic and read away there is alot of information on there.     OK, got an Idea, may not look to good but may work There are some cb antenas out there that have a tapered coil spring, small on both ends large in the middel, any kind of coil spring say around one inch to 1 1/2 inch in dia. mount them to the end of the handel bars, would this absorb the vibration ?? just thinking is all.

    I have heard of people filling there bars with bee bees, and also filling with silacone, have not tried them yet but I gess any thing that will dampen the vibration would work.

    Came back from viet nam in 1968, grew my hair long and started rideing bikes, got my hair cut and got maried had two boys and started rideing horses, got divorced grew my hair long and started rideing bikes again, lol Kill em all let god sort em out Hippy ?( No )!     I am new here and new to the the 86 venture I just bought and was wondering about car tires on bikes, but I got to say something when I hear someone talking about recaps on a bike, i drove over the the road and have seen many recaps fly apart in hot weather and it is againest the law to run them on the front of big trucks, for the same reason i would not run them on a bike, no way shape or form, just to dangerous I would say, my two cents worth. How about the date code on tires, if you can get alot more miles out of a car tire would the time limet of 6 years run out before the tread wears out, just a tought, you may have allready had this conversation.     Dont understand this at all, it will idel but when you give it the gas it just bogs down Put the beather back on and it is fine

    Will a swiming beach on a lake do, I am new here and just started reading this, sounds like fun to me, but here in missiouri it has been a been a bad winter, maybe can get out in a few days, I have a long drive way with ice on it and a hill to get up, see what happens.
