  1. If you like hiking or trout fishing, Roaring River State Park is about an hour west of Branson. Also, Eureka Springs, Arkansas is about an hour or so south of there. It's kind of a neat artsy and antiquey type of town. There are some great roads for riding in that area. I would show you around, but I live several hours away. Art
  2. I live in northeast Kansas about 15 miles from Topeka. Regarding the previous comment on warranty, I saw no reason to have the entire inner fairing replaced with a new one with tabs for the windshield bracket that would soon just break again. Additionally, the couple of hours it took to make the brackets was a lot less time wasted than taking it to the dealer. Art
  3. I'm a relatively new member and Venture owner, and I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here. Over the past week I did some winter projects on the Venture that include: passing lamp install using Freebird's wiring diagram for the relay and Tony Dathan's spacer, an auxillary fuse panel behind the battery like several members suggested, Goose's carb heater switch, Goose's fix for the broken windshield bracket tabs (yes, broken tabs with only 3400 miles), and CarbonOne's bracing for the front crash guards. All of your postings on these issues saved me lots and lots of time and money, and for this I am thankful. In addition ... I am thankful that today I got to ride for a couple of hours! It was mostly sunny, upper 30s, 5-10 mph wind ... awesome!! Art Thomas, aka "sallys dad":thumbsup2::thumbsup2:
  4. Paypal sent. Looks great and thanks a lot.
  5. I'm a relatively new RSV owner, but I do have some experience with motorcycles that have sat for a while. I would suggest testing the compression. A compression tester is relatively cheap and can save you lots of headaches and dollars in the long run.
