  1. John, patches mailed! Jay, Patches mailed! Craig, patches mailed!
  2. I'm sorry, but due to Federal Regulation 117.3756.21a Para. 5c "The words "sense" and "common" shall not be used in any combination in close proximity to each other in a sentence..."
  3. Yup! Just spent a good half hour strolling down memory lane...
  4. I just received the shipment of the patches tonight. I will be contacting all of you that requested patches by PM shortly. I will accept PayPal, or funds in the mail, whatever works for you... http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?124134-In-Memory-Of-Freaken-Jonsey-Patches&highlight=Jonsey+patches There are a few extra as well should you want one or two, PM me or reply here.
  5. Well, good news! Last night I was able to sleep in bed both on my back and on my side with minimal discomfort!! The only hard part is setting up from a reclined position. I guess I could have just stayed in bed... So, I'm definitely on the mend!
  6. Silver T, this site would be rather empty without your usual wit!!!
  7. Yup, my thought too, it's just that the pistons traveled too far and are extended to the point that they went past the seals. You will probably notice that the front pad still has some pad left on it, it is common for the inside pad to wear faster than the outside one. What some of us do is when you change the oil, rotate the rear pads...
  8. Nah!! If anything your sense of humor has been improving Dan! I can't think of anything here or on FB that would have offended anyone, except maybe some Libtard...
  9. Yup!! Look for the white sticker on the frame below the engine for the "born on" date and the serial number! Welcome aboard and for sure we will answer any of your questions, and sometimes it will even be the right answer!!!
  10. Well, if not the TCI, then as suggested replace the plug caps, or for that matter all the wires and caps! I would also look at the coil secondary inside where the plug wire inserts for the dreaded green crud!! Also, when you replace the plug wires after looking do not forget to cut off about a 1/4" so the tang in the coil makes a good connection with the wire and make sure you have the rubber o ring on the coil wire as well so the wire will not vibrate out...
  11. Hey, Eck, do the words "me" and Bite" used together in a sentence mean anything to you???
  12. Well, good news this morning, I was able to sleep on my back last night!!! I still had my upper body elevated somewhat as I have been sleeping on the couch but once I got into position, as long as I didn't move an inch it was tolerable and relatively pain-free. The hard part was getting back up this morning but the discomfort was nowhere near as bad as it was the past couple of days!! The best thing was that I was able to elevate my feet as my ankles were quite swollen from the last few days! They look normal today! So, thank you all for your prayers, I am a strong believer in the power of prayer!! As far as I am concerned healing comes from God the Father and he hears all prayers! So it's working, folks, keep it up and I'm sure I'll be back to normal soon!!
  13. ***Sigh*** Unfortunately, nothing because it is stored away in the neighbor's garage for the winter with no room to work on it. I might try to acquire a few goodies for it to install next spring...
  14. Yes, other than not being able to lie down either on my back or side, I'm just fine!! As a matter of fact, I just came in from snow blowing and shoveling for an hour and a half! I can sort of lie down on my back as long as I have a couple of pillows under my head and shoulders, can not lie flat! Unfortunately, within 5 minutes or so I will start to feel pain, and then I try moving or getting up and bingo, lots and lots of pain until I am sitting upright. After a minute or so the pain goes away and I'm back to normal. Forget about being on my side, no way Jose!! Haven't heard a thing about my X-Rays yet, and now do not expect to until Monday. Oh well, no news is good news I guess...
  15. OK went to the Doctor, followed by X-Rays. Very painful having to lie down on my back, downright excruciating! I got a prescription for muscle relaxers, but no pain pills other than extra strength Tylenol. Hopefully, I will hear something back about the X-Rays tomorrow or Monday...
  16. OK was able to snow blow the driveway clean with no pain whatsoever! Tried getting in and out of my car, no problem!! Took a shower, no problem! Picked up something from the floor, problem... Made appointment with my Primary Care Physician, and have to go in a few minutes. My Doctor is 5 minutes away, the VA Hospital is an hour away. Doubt I could lie down for massage. Hmmmm, do remember a little Vietnamese girl walking on my back once or twice...
  17. Well, made it through the night by sleeping sitting down. I only seem to hurt laying down either on my back or on my side but once I get there and relax I'm sort of OK. It's the getting there and back up that takes my breath away. Ben, I came down pretty much straight on my back, tailbone is fine!! I do know about THAT feeling from incidents in my past, though, no fun at all!! Was it last year you hurt yours?? May try to see my primary care physician today and get some pain pills and/or muscle relaxers depending on how snowblowing goes today, and how well I can get into and out of a car...
  18. Went to get the mail and halfway down to the mailboxes I slipped on the road and fell on my back! Felt the muscles in my back get tweaked as well as calf muscles. It hurt but I was able to get up and shake it off and finished my mission. I was fine until about an hour or two later and moved in the wrong direction and was immediately in a lot of pain, mostly my back but now stomach muscles as well, and it became extremely difficult to breathe! It was like my diaphragm wouldn't move! I'm sort of OK now but when I lie down and get a pain or something, the second I try to get up it starts all over again!! Been hitting up my back with ice, then heat, and it helps a little. I'm OK standing and setting but have to be very careful how I move. I'm sleeping on the couch tonight, and if it does not get any better by the weekend I just may take a trip to the VA emergency room. The bummer is we got a lot of snow today, I already snow blow'ed but will have to do it again tomorrow. I'm OK standing and walking so I should be OK I hope... Hoping I can sleep OK on the couch, I tried a nap in bed around 7:00 but then I got a pain in my back and when I tried getting out of bed that's when I had the issue with stomach muscles hurting big time and hard time breathing. Had a few similar issues this evening when I got up from the couch when I was sideways and half reclined. So, I could use your prayers! Hopefully, it is just traumatized muscles and nothing else...
  19. Yyup!! The same thing has happened to me too!! I just keep on typing and add the spaces later. Very annoying...
  20. I remember in my youth a friend having a Sweedish one...
  21. And you can spel reel gude tonite too!!
  22. Puc, being around the same age, yes, growing up in the 50's and 60's WW2 Veterans were to be highly respected and considered HEROS!!! As I grew up and studied history I remember going to the library in the late 50's and looking with wild fascination at old copies of Life magazine and reading the articles about the war in the pacific. Indeed it was a day of infamy when we entered the 2nd World War not necessarily because of Germany but because Japan invaded this great country by directly attacking our Navy! Now my Father did not serve in the armed forces but many of my relatives did! Most of them did not really talk about it other than saying it was a bad experience. Lucky you to actually have our veterans open up to you!! Yes, humbly remember the events of this day in history...
  23. Hey Scott, stumbled across this video on youtube... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbW7r_-HBvQ
  24. OK, I now breathe easier!! Actually, with the AARP/AAA discount, it came down to $132 plus tax, or around $150 total. Thanks for the heads up on my good buddy Barry!! Not sure if we will have the time as some friends from Davenport, originally from WNY, should be visiting with us that night. I've known them since the early 70's, and as a matter of fact, he is the one who gave me the name "Bongo Bob" when I was a Roady for him and would dance with his wife while he was playing!! As a point of information, this one is a 21-day cruise!! Happening in the month of March... BTW Steve yes we have stayed at Marriot's as well and yes they are good places as well. I will check their rate and compare. Plenty of time to cancel and change, but need to do it soon as in the winter hotels fill up fast...
  25. Hey Pucster, of course I've been thinking about you and praying as well!! Just been keeping a low profile on this thread...
