My long range rifle is in 7mm STW built in a M1917 Enfield action. But I shoot .308/7.62mm 99% of the time, including target shooting and hunting. Excluding service rifle competition with an AR-15 in .223.
I lost power and phone/internet at 3pm Monday. Power came back at 9pm Wednesday, and phone/internet was back this morning.
Spent an hour or so Monday night cutting up trees that were accross the road. Had a couple cars stopped at one of the trees we were clearing when another big pine fell accross the road and just missed one of the stopped cars. No damage at my house or property though.
It looks like North Georgia won't get Irma until its downgraded to a Tropical Storm. But wind gusts of 50mph are in the forecast from noon today until midnight. That and maybe a tornado. But it looks like the worst of the remnants are pushing west towards Huntsville, Al and Memphis. Makes me wonder how @Eck is doing?
Agreed, I've been real happy with the Yamahas I've owned.
I've never owned a bike with belt drive, if I buy a new bike, it seems like the odds are high that's what I'll wind up with, as many I'm looking at have belts.
I must be the last man on earth that likes KFC Origonal recipe. I tried my best to keep the KFC open here in town, but when Walmart moved in and started selling deli roasted chickens and tenders, it was too much for KFC and they closed down. That said, Popeye's spicy is very good too and their biscuits are the best.
Nothing better than a plate of walleye unless its a second plate full.
So, back to the ice cream. Oh ya, I've had Moose Tracks a few times, not sure I've had it with extra chocolate chips. sounds good!!! nanner and strawberries sounds like a plus+++
Here's my favorite icecream. Snickers flavor icecream. mmm.
Looks like the Blue Ridge Run rally is going to be at fairgrounds in Cherokee NC FRi-Sunday this weekend. Yamaha is going to be there with demo rides as well as Indian, Harley, and BMW. So a chance to see and try the new Venture as well as couple other new bikes I'm wondering about.
edit: I'm going to have to miss this. The hurricane Irma's path has moved slightly west and I'm right in its path. The local Emergency Mgmt is starting to kick in and I'm on alert to help.

Ya Puc. Although I didn't have to use my 5yr warranty on the new 2008 RSTD I bought, it was good knowing I had it.
I wonder why Yamaha says 1year factory warranty plus 4 years Extended Service. I think they should clarify what that means.
Lenny,
The way I read the Yamaha warranty it is 1 year factory warranty plus 4 year extended warranty. I believe that 4 year extended warranty has to be purchased, so may not be cheaper than the HD on this point. That said the sale brochures for the 2018's didn't list a price for that extended warranty, so maybe I'm wrong to think this? Is that 4yr extended warranty included in the price?
Since we're on the subject of BMW K bikes. Here's a pic of my dear departed 1997 K1100 rt/lt. I don't have a saved picture of it with the matching top box and saddle bags which were removable and I usually didn't leave them on the bike unless I was taking an overnighter somewhere.
This was a really sweet bike for gobbling up the miles. And YES, it had a cassette player.
Its easier for current politicians to get contributions from a single fat-cat who is benefiting from the laws and economic policies, than it is to get an equal contribution amount from a hundred workers trying to save enough money to put their kids thru school and save enough for retirement.
