  1. Good stuff. I'll tell ya, I own a First gen MKII and a Second gen, and there's no way in Hades that my Second Gen could keep up with the First. I had a buddy ride the First gen and I rode the Second gen and I was hitting the rev limiter and he only had to give it half throttle to keep up. Second gen sure is comfy, but the First gen is funner to ride.
  2. They'll probably be faster and more reliable than the motorcycles. Just sayin'
  3. Not concerned as a Yammy Rider, ...just as a US Citizen. Not a Harley fan either, but as a US company, I'd like to see them do well.
  4. This is all over my head, but I seem to remember that the import tariffs were to be a like for like tax. If they tax our steel at 25%, then we do the same....That seems pretty fair to me, but what do I know about international trade policies. As far as Harley goes, I wonder how many of them they sell overseas. IMHO, Harleys are pretty and a lot of folks like that sound, but not at the top of the game as far as performance, reliability and longevity (at least without major rebuild) goes. If you take away the "Made in America" selling point so popular with our citizens....how do they stand up against Japanese or European bikes in overseas markets? Just wondering.
  5. I've a first gen and a second gen and a second gen and can tell ya first hand the whine is way worse on the second gen. It's annoying, but it's just one of those things. When I focus on it, it bothers me, but I am usually able to put it to the back of my mind and enjoy the ride. I probably wouldn't have thought anything of it had I not read about it on VR...lol...
  6. UH.......You guys know that those are SKUNKS......Right???..... Cute though. Congrats.
  7. Patted both my gals on the tank and told them that I haven't forgotten about them....then went ahead and put salt in the softener. My gals sit in the 10 x 14 shed that houses the well head / tank / softener. Heated in the Winter, and I leave a dehumidifier run year round. Hell, I haven't had the 87 out in 3 years....don't know how long that Seafoam will hold that gas, but I did start her last Spring, and she fired right up.
  8. Until I came across this on Craigslist. Tempted to buy it just to tinker with it. https://columbus.craigslist.org/for/d/flymo-hover-mower/6625167639.html
  9. Read thru the thread, and didn't see anyone question the shocks / springs, or steering head bearing. Just axing if that could be the issue....don't want to suffer from tunnel vision here. Just sayin'
  10. Thanks Randy.....You Rock !!! This forum is my go to for pretty much everything.
  11. Sent ya a pm with my e-mail. Thanks a bunch !!!
  12. Must be floating around in cyber space, looking for my computer.
  13. Checked my e-mail, but nothing came through yet. I'm not sure what you mean when you say you sent it via this forum.
  14. I've a Sherwood RX-4130 stereo amplifier / receiver at the cabin, that I put in last year, and my brother just called complaining 'cause he can't figure out how to tune it. I told him I'd see if I can find a manual for it and print it out, but everywhere I look requires that you register, and my ESET keeps blocking all the sites as malicious. Do any of you smart 'puter folks know how to get said manual without putting my 'puter at risk?
  15. Yessir....she's a beauty!!! Congrats!!!
  16. Thanks for the pics. Thinking of you guys......I'd REALLY like to be there with ya, but I just can't get away right now. I guarnadamntee I'll be there next year.:crying: Have fun, will see ya next year.
  17. Kevin and family will be in my thoughts...prayers up...
  18. My brother in Southern Florida has a problem with Iguanas eating his plants, and the neighbors, and everyone else's. They're like rats down there, although a lot bigger. He has a bada$$ pellet rifle with a scope that does the trick.
  19. On my way to work, about 5 miles from home there's an S curve that had gravel strewn across it. The straightaways on both ends of the curve were clear, and it occurred to me that a biker coming into that curve, thinking the road was clean was gonna bite it. I called the State (ODOT) and told them about it, and when I was on my way home I was happy to see it clear. It looked like they took a street sweeper to it. Kudos to ODOT.
  20. IMHO, the Black Cherry made in 06 is the nicest color, and it seems like all the coolest people ride Black Cherry. I must also say that the pillow top seats found on the 06 will make your posterior quite cozy. A bike is like a woman,....you gotta go after the one that gets your blood goin'. For my part, I looked them... (bikes).... over for a while and decided that I wanted a Black Cherry with the pillow tops and waited until I found one. That's the one that did it for me. I probably paid a tad more than I should have for it, but it was exactly what I was looking for so I didn't mind. Best of luck to ya !
  21. I'll be thinking of him tomorrow, with a prayer and lots of love and positive thoughts. He seems to be a special little guy.
  22. Love this forum. Since I'd bought my Expedition, I occasion an Expy forum. I checkout the posts, especially when I'm looking for info, but couldn't help but notice that those folks aren't so kindly to one another. Seems like they're willing to tolerate insults to one another, which is a real turn off. Anyhoo, I've been hanging around here for going on 10 years now, and must say the people who frequent this site are more like family than like adversaries. Heck, a friendly pi$$ing match can be fun if done in the spirit of fun and entertainment, but when you take it too seriously it stops being fun. Thank all of you for being you. My friends, my family.
  23. You have my deepest sympathies. Like Don said, those who aren't pet people may not understand, but our pets are like our children. I lost one last August way too early, and fear I'll be losing another one soon. (17 yrs old) I believe that we WILL be reunited with them one day.

  25. I see you're from Y-town. I spent the first 35 years of my life there. Grew up across the street from Pemberton Park. Graduated from Wilson, (Class of 80). I'm not sure that I'll be able to make it this year, but if I do I'll have to look ya up.
