The whole thing's a political mess. They took the latest strain of flu and are using it to control people worldwide. Make folks afraid and they're easier to control. As for me...I'm not interested in any vaccine.....we'll just have to wait and see if it becomes mandatory either from the government or by employers. Then we'll all have to make some hard choices.

Had some rather large, dead branches way up high on a tree, overhanging where I usually park the cars, so I rented a 55' lift to get up there and cut them down. The lift BARELY got me there, but I got 'er dun. Was a bit squirrely up that high running a saw, leaning over the side of the basket. The main branch that I was worried about was on the tree to the right, just at the Y.

At work we've finally switched from paper service reports to EVERYTHING done through a tablet. I HATE that thing. The 12 year old IT people don't understand why it's a problem, but I'm not alone in my misery. I'm one of the senior techs, and I talk to other techs as well as the dispatchers as well as the service manager, and we're all having trouble. "Just download these files, add them to a zip file, send them to the drive then find them, rename them and fill the forms out and send them back. ????? Horrible system. Several apps to work through for what used to be simple stuff and constant responses of "I don't know why it's doing that". I think the problem is that they tried to form their own systems, as compared to purchasing the programs commonly used in my trade. It seems that anymore what's important is getting all the 'puter stuff straight, and wrenching on the equipment is second to that. I find that I now spend half of my time fiddling with the tablet, all while being pressured to get more of the wrench work done quicker. I'm a mechanic, not an IT guy. Paper always worked. ARRRRGGGGHHHH !!!

Oh Please.....I had to Google that guy to see who he was and what he looked like. I've been told David Coverdale, Mark Singer, Sammy Hagar, and my favorite was Dirk Bentley.....Lisa and I were at a Bob Evans enjoying breakfast and the waiter came over and said "Those people over there said you're Dirk Bentley....are you him????......I said no...and at the time didn't even know who he was....a few minutes later he came back and said "They're sure you ARE him.....ARE you him?????"....I laughed and said no...I'm not whoever Dirk Bentley is... Went home and Googled him as well... It's just the hair. People see it and associate me with whomever else they've seen with a similar style.

Not my best pic, but here it is. I jumped in the shower to wash all the blood out of my hair, then had Lisa comb it away from the cuts and put a washcloth on it, and the stretchy headband thing to hold it in place. Kept it there there until I went to bed.

Wife says it scabbed over nicely...(gotta trust her as I can't see it)....Gonna go back at it today. Took the week off to get this done and the weeks comin' to an end quickly.....Seems like I used to get this stuff done faster when I was a young fella.

Been re-siding the garage and replacing the small porch that gets my brother up to his apartment..... Went to move the ladder and forgot the hammer on top. Frickin' claw end hit me right on top of the melon.... Rubbed my head, and came back with a bloody hand....then it started dripping down my face and got in my eye....lol....I'm not happy, but at this point I'm trying not to laugh at myself....It was raining a bit so I had to throw the tools in the garage,,,drove the van back up to the house and kept the bad side away from the wife and told her I'm ok.....don't freak....and she pretty much didn't.....Washed my hair....combed it away from the two gashes where the claw hit...put a washcloth on it with my wifes stretchy headband to keep pressure...now just gotta sit here and make sure I didn't crack my skull....If I don't start seeing spots or getting nauseated, I think I'll be ok....I have a really hard head.... I'm done working for today...lol.....
