    Why?

Checked this thread again, just to make sure you are all on the uppety up,,, seems ok so far, so I'll let it go for now,,, but watch out, this may become short lived,,,,,,, don't ask me why, it's just the way things are. So carry on as though nothing is happening, ,, just like........
  2. Sorry,,, I forgot all about the brain thingie,, should have remembered I guess. Now I have that to deal with. Really though, I thought it would take a lot more to upset him and he didn't really show emotion when I met him, but hey, stranger things have happened. I know, I know, now your going to say that I said, that he is strange... well so be it, say what you like, but leave me out of it,,,,, I heard nothing, know nothing and seed nothing.
  3. Never did like CL, now I like it even less.
  4. Not to worry, I hear you have an excellent retirement package.
  5. Could be both, he did follow at a distance now that I think about it,,,, Now bout the 2nd gen,, didn't know he owns one,,, that maybe Wizard765 that you're thinking of,,,,,, now that brings up another thought,,, maybe he thought you were having a nooner and didn't want to disturb you.
  6. Was that you Mom??
  7. Not hard to see if it's a traditional issue,,, remove the middle gear cover and you can view the split washer right there in the open,,,almost. If it's wore down in the center, then Houston, you have problem,,, if not, your problem is elsewhere.
  8. Saddlebum can say what he wants,,,, but when the truth comes out it will prove that he was not interested in riding behind a 1st gen leaking gas that might, just for no reason at all, flare up right under his scoot,,,,, I, on the other hand had no issue, all I would have to do is twist the handle a bit to light me outta there. When we got back to my shop there was no mention of where to go,,, he didn't mention any love for Ground Hugger's wife or complain about the fact that we might head in a different direction, neither did he mention anything about FREE ice-cream anywhere. As far as my post is concerned, yes Ben, it was a practice run for the VentureIn. I think I got it about 25% right as far as time is concerned,,, now I just have to come up with interesting subject matter so the guests don't fall asleep,,, or maybe I could save it all 'til after lunch, that way, once I get them all asleep I can get my nap in as well.
  9. Heal up quick old buddy, or we'll have to send somebody over there to show you how's it's done,,,, oh wait,, does anybody here know?

    Well!

Get a good weekly massage, helps blood flow and puts things as normal as they can be for speedier healing.
  11. It's just making sure we don't forget about it too easily and think we have it all made.
  12. That's pretty neat,,, I wondered if he could do it twice in a row, so I watched it again,,, and dang, he got it right on the second time as well,,,, good for him!
  13. Still winter here,,, what's YOUR hurry?
  14. Oh you guys are pushing my buttons,,,, getting my interest for sure,,, AUCTION? PAYOUT? REALLY? when is it going to start,,, I could use the extra,, I'm on a fixed income eh! Ready for the first bidder,,, and oh, it's a soft close.
  15. Wouldn't work in Brantford,,,, we're not that far advanced, some lights are but most are not. Costs money you know eh?
  16. All there is to hold it together is the bolt up from the bottom, must come completely out, and a retainer spring clip in the top under the dust cover. Maybe somebody put an extra clip in there by mistake
  17. Happy Borthday trouble. Does this mean you're getting better or more dangerous?
  18. Got a locksmith here, that all he needs to do is to see the key, and pronto he cuts another. When asked if he can open a car with the keys locked inside, his first question is: can I see the key? if he can it's half the cost. Service comes with 2 keys and a key holder.
  19. White will fit with anything,,, I just asked my wife and she said so. I have done the beads, real sheepskin, sheepskin over beads but the best yet for me is an adjustable Air-Hawk cushion,,, really nice!!!
  20. Sure,,, here we go again,,, I get the 'credit' and I don't need the money. Actually,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Ben started it,,, Ben begged for me to get my scooter back together so we could go for a ride on Saturday (Yesterday). He then shows up and instantly needs to fix his road runner, some problem with the CB if I remember correctly,,, then, when we is ready to ride and he is all fueled up, he has lost direction and flatly refuses to lead,,,, soooo,,, I'm not about to sit at the gas station all afternoon, so I leave and then he starts to follow,,, real Ben-like. It's around noon so I stop in at the first Timmies I see and we have something to eat, after which he notices a growing puddle under my scoot. Turns out it's fuel related, so we have to head back home. I was on my way too see Ground Hugger, but Ben would hear none of it, said something about danger,,,,, now what could be dangerous about Ground Hugger, other that the fact he might sit on me,,,,, but Ben was so worried, we headed home,,,'course when we got there all was well. So we headed in the other direction, because Ben felt evil omens going south,, so north we went to find an Ice-Cream stop. Now BEN thought that maybe we was going to visit Hal & Gayle, but just because they live north of us doesn't mean when you go north that that's where I was going,,, with Ben following,,,,,,, we turn off and now head west,,,, now he thinks we are going to spend time with BradT, but I'm smarter than that,,, they have shovels, dirt and a flower bed,,, not going there, no sir,,,,, but we do stop in at SleepyIIs to see if they are home,, I just knew there would be no yard work, fixing scoots or anything else laborious but maybe we'd get some ice cream and I wouldn't have to pay for it. They were home, but they must have been fresh out, for even though I hinted a couple of times, even very broadly, and I even let Ben hug Bev,, no showing of that cool stuff, so we carried on to Bartlays and enjoyed the first ICE-CREAM outing this year. During our foray in Woodstock we did a u-turn but we avoided gravel. I was not aware that Ben soo badly wanted to ride gravel or I would have thrown that into the mix as well,, maybe we'll do a barn-yard next time.
  21. Go for it Annie, with sooo many behind you, you have a lot of experience,, use it wisely. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and wish you many more good ones.
  22. Poor performance, missing, poor mileage............
  23. It goes from 1 to 4 and then back again, doesn't go from 4 to 1,,, sooo, 1,2,3,4 and then 4,3,2,1. Does that help?
  24. I'll be right over in the morning,, if you don't see me right away don't fret, just get started and I'll be along,,, long,,, long,,,,,, time!
  25. On the first gens, you can do them dry. With the bowl covers off, turn the carb upside down, look at the floats and you'll notice a curve cut-out on the top (now on the bottom) of the float. This should nicely coincide with the round casting circle on the main jet block. bend the tab to adjust either way. If you would like to check this, hook all 4 carbs together as if they were on the bike, square and straight. Run clear hose from the drain ports with enough length to come to the outside and above the carbs. Hopefully at this point you have a Mighty Vac that will also pump pressure. You will now need an airtight bottle with 2 holes in the lid. Through the one hole run a hose you need to attach to the input of the carb, and the other end to the bottom of the bottle. The other hole is for the hose coming from your pressure source. You need to seal both hoses to the lid of the bottle. Now fill the bottle with gasoline and pressurize the input hose which will fill the carbs with gasoline. Once the bowls are full the flow will stop and pressure should be maintained at the source. You don't need much pressure, as these systems run with about 2 lbs pressure. With the hose ends held above the carb you can now open the drain screws and the fuel will rise to the same level as what is in the carbs. Once the flow has stopped, apply a bit more pressure to the bottle to finish and see the test results. Hope this is clearer than mud.
