  1. Did all that, then I went back and set them all to exclude, and then went back in to view them all,,, so I selected 'none'. Each time I got out of FF and restarted, just in case,,, still no luck, even with this thread.
  2. So now,, this thread should show up under 'new posts' because you posted to it,,, but it doesn't.
  3. Ya, I found it because your reply showed up in my in-box and I followed that link. So does it show up in your wateringhole and new posts? Doesn't for me,, I have to go to the forum to find it.
  4. Went through that, couldn't find the solution. Also, this thread doesn't display either, so has the same problem.
  5. I posted a new thread for the Kitchener M&G on Friday in the Meet& Greet forum. Shouldn't this also end up in the Watering Hole or New Posts? It doesn't seem to want to come up there. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/meet-n-eats/98415-kitchener-ontario-white-north.html
  6. Won't be long Brenner,,,, get yourself ready,,, the onslot is coming.
  7. So far this thread is surprising,,,, we are only stating our own opinion and haven't got on to anybody else for theirs,,,,,, NICE JOB!!! Keep it up. IMHO, the only person that is happy with the sound,,, ok, loud sound,,, of their machines is the rider,,, and maybe sometimes a bi-stander. Mostly though it's only the owner of the machine. I have never noticed anybody going up to another and ask them to fire up their bike so that they could listen to the noise,,,, hear it maybe yes,,, but stand there to listen and drink it in.... not so much. On the same hand I find that if there is a bike with loud pipes they are mostly relegated to the back of the pack so everybody doesn't have to hear that the whole time. On the other side,,, there was one set of pipes that I would ride with anytime,,,, and they were on the Road Star of Halrvs99 wife's Gail's bike,,,, they were sweet. No noise on the run really, but if she cranked it, it spoke a little. Wonder what they were??
  8. Brings a whole new meaning to what I thought to be a deadbeat song...... thanks
  9. Love in not self centered, it gives and doesn't demand a return,,,, it says what can I give,, not what can I get. Love would have said: opps sorry boss, I'll repost that. Love was meant to rule this earth, but sadly we got in the way, so often times we screw up and go the way of 'get' rather than 'give' When we head for 'get' we'll more often than not end up at the wrong end of the discussion. Love also forgives, but that doesn't mean that the consequences aren't there, and those consequences we have to deal with to get back on track. Also sometimes we don't read as much as we should, don't pay enough attention to the rules posted and so get into hot water,,,,, well,, them's the breaks,, live and learn. Good work Mr. Freebird,,,, there are rules for a reason, and a reason for rules. You showed good judgment and also love,,, so carry on,,and if you need to rant at times,, that's ok as well.
  10. Wellllllllll!!!!!! obviously Miss Tippy has never laid her eyes on me. My Marca says I have am best of them all, and I don't go fooling around in the snow without my clothes on. Now that I'm thinking about it,,, how did you get out without your clothes on anyways,,,,, were you maybe in the process of undress when Tippy saw you and promptly kicked you out, thinking that you was an intruder and needed you out before the REAL man got back??? maybe??
  11. As Condor mentioned, make sure you are running 20-50 or at least 20-40. Also, improper engine tuning or sync will cause noises in the rest of the system. The noise you hear is not uncommon, maybe sounds a bit loud, but that could be the recording. My 85 had it the whole time I rode it, but only when it was on the side stand was it really noticeable.
  12. Straighten the bike up,, I think you'll find the noise magically disappears.
  13. Thanks Max,, they have a place to stay,,, it's just all their stuff that needs to stay somewhere.
  14. Now will you get back inside,,, you're screwing up the works,,, thanks to you it will be spring in about 6 uuuuhhh 8 weeks?
  15. We have a daughter in Brechin who sold her house and bought another at Jackson's Point. Trouble is, Brechin closes on March 02 and Jackson's Point closes April 2. What would really be handy if she could borrow a 20' trailer for the month. She already has our 20' and it's loaded. So just wondering if anyone can help us out. This would be for a month and I would do all transfer etc.
  16. Better not,, or I'll have to tell the truth. After all she was working and was not allowed any fringe benefits on the job,,,, so to keep temptation at bay,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
  17. Use a little liquid tape on the cracks if they worry you.
  18. It's all the Fools fault, he's using west winds. It's all that hot air coming from the west going east, right through his air-moisture conditioner.
  19. That's only because she hasn't seen me yet.
  20. Just need to got to know,,,, forget about your Black Death,, that stuff can kill ya,,,,,, what is important though,,,, does she hug????I mean Greta,,, well does she????
  21. I'm glad that she made it out of this life into a much better one, something we all will have to face one day. Sure can be a bummer to be left behind on your own though, kind of takes half of you away so to speak. No more sharing, laughing and crying together. Now life goes on without all that togetherness. Can be kind of lonely, forsaken, out of sorts. Comfort and a future can be found, but only if you look for it. We will ask Him to provide what only He can give.
  22. Yep,,, I agree,,,for me the question is: what exactly is meant by cleaned,, like exactly,,,, were the carbs stripped right down? every screw and gasket removed? every hole cleaned and cleaned again? and then checked to make sure they were clean and open, were the floats set and rechecked? and checked for leaks?,,,, or,,,,,,,was a carb cleaner sprayed around for a bit to make things look clean and pretty and then put money in the pocket. Yep! sure is a difference.
  23. Those grandkids are wonderful,,, everyone needs a whole bunch of 'em. 2 is halfway to a good start. Blessings!
