As most of you know our shop burnt down in December. It's been a sharp upward learning curve for us meat processors, to get into the building industry, new rules, mixed up rules, rules that don't make any sense, engineers (need I say more?). Lots of fun! And then there comes another hitch. In order for us to comply with the new provincial regulations we need to expand our shop to almost twice it's size. The county approved the plans, the province says it looks good, but our neighbour has some legal complaints and so is intending to take this issue to the Ontario Municipal Board. This could take up to 6 months. Today at 3 pm we meet with him, his lawyer, the county zoning dept, our lawyer, a county councilor, and who knows who else might be in attendance. Hopefully this meeting will settle things away, but I really think that it will take a super change of mind on the part of our neighbor. With that we would like to have your input. Do what you can, when you can, I'll let you know how well mental Guidance works out. Thanks Carl

Just finished cleaning the Spyder, and it looks like somebody else did it, I never do it this good. 'course that is in part due to the product I used. Funny how I came upon this. We were coming through Arcade NY last year and Marca just needed to stop in at the quilt shop,,, you know, not to buy anything, just to look, so I said; how long do you need and we agreed on an hour and a half. After leaving her at the shop, I proceeded to advance myself to the local, well there isn't a Harbour Freight, so I went to the Auto Zone. Neat place actually and I just went to look. After a bit I ended up in the cleaning polishing isle,,,, nah, don't need any of that stuff, Pledge works just fine and is reasonable in price. But seeing as I always like to learn something new and there is an empty spot on my shelve (well I thought there might be) I read some labels. Now on the top shelve, almost out of reach and item caught my eye, and as most of you know by now, I'm Dutch, so you know what caught my eye,, the word SALE and under that $5.00. After reading the label I thought,,,ya right, Marca is in the quilt shop and she's not going to buy anything??? really?? I can't make her feel bad by leading me astray, so I better buy this stuff, it's cheap enough not to break the bank and an ice cream would cost more,, so I bought it,,and she bought something as well,, so we were even. This story isn't over yet: When we got home I forgot all about it and it wasn't until this winter that I found it in the saddle bag, and finally put it on the shelve where I forgot about it some more, until today,, so I thought, why not try this stuff and get it off my shelve,,,, results? Anybody want to buy some pledge? next time I'll buy a case of this stuff, it's awesome!!WOW!!! Nanowax, by Eagle One https://www.eagleone.com/superior-nanowax-spray

MK1 are from 83 to 85, and then the saddle bags were changed and the power-plant went from a 1200 to a 1300 and they were called MK2. The 1200 were\are the fastest, so fast in fact that Yammi couldn't keep up, so they slowed things down a bit with the 1300, then in 99 after 7 years of soul searching they came out with the 2nd gen and all 'get up and go' got up and left,,,,Now if you have a 2nd gen you can maybe well imagine how fast those MK1s are. As usual, there is some truth to this story, and maybe some facts. I thought I might be helpful seeing as Puc seems to have taken a furlo.

Hey Tooch,, not to say that you are wrong,,,, I wouldn't do that,,, you are bigger than me,,,, but what is written, is written. 1st gens start in 83, but I would like to help out here, so if you would like to see that xs100h in the line up,,, we could call it a prototype. We just can't go back and change all the wording over the last 10 years and then try to change peoples minds as well. On second thought though, we could give the job to Puc, that way he can be kept busy and feel useful at the same time.

Talking about what will fit and what wont fit and all that fun stuff...

So if I read your next post, will that make me just as smart as both of you??? never mind, I already know the answer. -
Just posted on FreeBird's ride thread. Take a lesson and the two of you should get out and ride for 15-30 minutes each day to get the muscles into shape for an all day goer. Have a great time, stay safe and post them pictures you take.

If I remember correctly, when we was younger we would get on the bike and ride, didn't matter the distance, we were good. Not so much any more, after a winter off it time to re-train those top muscles, so we try to go for shorter rides to get back into it before we do any real distance,,,, makes sense to me I think. The other suggestion was spot on as well,,,, the one about massage,,,, nothing better!!!

Take a margarine dish or something similar, half fill it with Amex ammonia and then set it in the attic. His desire to enter the attic will dissolve fairly quickly.

Have you got the antennas hooked up right? The antenna with the load coil in the middle should be on the left side of the bike.

Wow you two,,, can't you just leave all the troubles alone,,,,seems like one thing after another. Best to ask the Father for patience as you go through all the trials that are thrown at ya. I'll help out and ask Him as well.

Easy now,, he's worked a long time to get where he is.

Help needed if possible for a Garmin Nuvi 2555 route planning

I use Mapsource, works fine for me and I don't have to deal with google. Want a copy? -
I just passed 35,,,, oooorrrr, maybe it was 40,, either way I'm still around and have a scoot to boot. When I get old I'll grow gray hair like the rest of you guys, maybe I'll even let my stomach stick out a bit, and I'll get me some of those denture things. After that I'll see how I can ramble on about nothing, and then say a few words that confuse everybody, so that they can say I made an awesome speech, 'cause they don't want to admit that they never understood a word,, just in-case something important did slip out.

Another item to consider, and a lot of folks don't, is what is legal. A half ton beefed up may do a better job of towing than a reg 3\4 ton might, although the 3\4 ton may be listed as a heavy tow capacity. That's not how the hy-way cops decipher it though. They go by the book and if you don't have proper and inspected documentation on the beefed up half ton, it just isn't there,,,, kind of like on here,, if there are no pictures, it really didn't happen, type thing.

Life changes, nothing we can really do about it, it just happens and happens. Just seems kind of odd that back in 2006 when I joined this group numbers were constantly on the rise, members, gatherings, etc. But as time moved on numbers started to diminish. In 06 at our 1st M&G I think we had about 50 people, this year less than 1\2 that. Slowly the numbers got less, slowly people have been getting older,,,(why didn't somebody tell me), slowly more interests have entered our personal forums, sometimes our health and wel being have taken the forefront, and maybe something we haven't thought about yet: the world is moving fast and we really don't want to get left behind, so our interests are tweaked elsewhere, a little and and a bit there,,,,,and,,,, seeing as we can still only do one thing at a time some things tend to get a lower score on the totem pole of planning and desire. I see new members come on this site regularly, don't know the numbers exactly, but there are new names popping up now and then, but mostly they are looking for advice and seem to have little need to get further involved, that's OK, they have full lives of other interests. Times may change again, they may and they may not. One thing or sure, we have a good thing going here that presents a message to the rest of the population: Want some help, WE CAN!

Shifting problems?
Marcarl replied to BillH's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I'm not sure if your bike is like the 1st gen Ventures. On them there is a shaft going back from the the shift pedal. I let my nephew ride my bike once and after that it was hard to shift. Guy has size 13 boots and feet and legs to match. He bent the shaft. -
Must be the new rotary kitchen knife. It cuts circles around anything else.

I think that would be after he jumped.

SOOOOOo now that total boredom has set in: A man was on a roof, he jumped off,,,, where was he when he jumped?
