    I use to spend about four hours cleaning the bike then about the same time cleaning the white walls. Went to E III.

    I have changed mine with out any special tools. When you get the two bolts out that hold the filter you can loosen the clamp to the air duct and remove the box. There is a small rubber hose that hooks to the back of the box but it is not any trouble to unhook or hook back up. As for cleaning or replacing the filter. I have the original filters in my 03. I remove the filters and lightly clean them with mild soapy water and let them air dry till the next day then put them back it.

    LOL I had that happen to me at 70 MPH in a Ford Explorer. Had a four wheel alignment the day before and felt a vibration, tried to call the shop but he left for the day so I was going to take it back after work but it flew apart on my way to work at 5 AM. The guy that did the work left the axel not loose.

    No exchange rate in this one. I made a reservation for Don's MD at a Super 8. Didn't realize I had the wrong town and booked. Then seen the mistake and tried to cancel, no can do. Priceline will keep all the money if I cancel. I tried to switch to the same motel chain a little closer, can't do that either. So I will be staying about 20 miles from Don's. I will never book a motel while I am using MapQuest again.

    Holy Land? Never heard it called that. Hilly yes but not Holy. The two couples that I am meeting are out of Midland.

    Dave I am not sure about a maintenance day but I will be in your area the first week of July. The wife and I will be in Branson area on Vacation along with two couples from Texas.

    I get all my tires from Jake Wilson. Best pricing and free shipping in lower 48, not sure about Canada though. I have my third set of E-III's in the shed weighting to be installed but won't do that till the middle of June.

    Some of the parts may be painted with lacquer and others with enamel.

    I will put mine on and take a pic of it. I put a light bar on it with run, turn and brake lights.

    Do you have a hitch on your bike? If so you can get a trunk, HD, Yam, or any trunk and mount it to a receiver and then you could use it when you need it or leave it off. The best thing is you don't have to loose anything that you have on the bike now. I did one for when the wife and I go on trips instead of dragging the trailer.

    Sounds like the battery is toast and it is starting off the jumper.

    Ours is almost gone. We will need a few dry days before I can get the bike out though.

    I took the plastic off of my lowers and replaced them with polished Stainless steel. Looks good.

    I also use the shorter and wider shield. I use the full helmet with a flip front year round.

    Randy it was almost 50* here today but calling for a low of 28* tonight with snow up to 10" by tomorrow afternoon.

    Hi Dan and welcome. The lowers have a lot of the cruse and electrical components in them. The best way to get your feet away from the heat is a good set of road pegs. There is a set of wind deflectors that bole to the crash bar that is adjustable and that helps also.
