  1. Sturgis is a pretty quiet place when the rally isn’t happening but the riding in the Black Hills is still great!!
  2. Dennis Kirk has the Pirelli RT 66 tires for a low end tire. That’s what was on mine when I purchased it and they were fine but did have a tendency to follow tar snakes. I replaced them with the Metzler 888’s which I really like but others on this forum do not.
  3. That’s great!! You did a good job teaching him everything he knows!
  4. That’s the one I used and I love it. Had to do some adjusting to aim it properly but after that it’s great! Illuminates four legged critters on the road at 4 am well!
  5. The QUESTION is; do the recliners fit you? If not, then the price was too much!
  6. Merry Christmas!!! Pastoring is sure fun in Wisconsin! It was 1 degree this morning and-15 wind chill and I needed to blow snow before church this morning!! Such fun!!!
  7. I think that’s a genius idea!!
  8. That seems logical!! They look tasty!
  9. How did you get them to lay on your trailer so nice?😊
  10. I used abs cement and drywall tape, the mesh stuff to repair a crack 20,000 miles ago and it is still holding. The crack is visible from the outside since I didn’t do any body repair to it.
  11. See Blinker upgrade post further down in this forum
  12. Wow! When does the VR team play?
  13. Pepperettes? What are pepperettes? We don’t have them here in the states, but looking on the internet it seems there is a place for them alongside ice cream as a necessity for a successful motorcycle trip!
  14. Maybe you could find some stainless ready rod and paint it black
  15. If you had only one 10mm fastener and no other reason to use a 10mm socket, it would still be missing when you needed it!
  16. Stopping these beasts is not intuitive, keeping your handlebars and your head straight is necessary. A walking stop won’t work for me cuz as you know, these things are HEAVY, and I need to have my footing alongside of me and not behind me. I am 6’3” and 200 lbs so I have some height which helps me. Plan your position on the road for your stopping point, away from cracks and dips in the road. Get it into first gear before you completely stop. I put my left foot down first so I can stop using rear brakes and then I grab the front brake so I can have both feet down.
  17. Wow! Make me jealous, glad you arrived home safe and sound!
  18. So glad to see that you didn’t pull the plug on riding! Enjoy the new ride, the wife is making trike noise here! I told her we were doing next season on two wheels, but after that .. who knows!
  19. Now my dear @cowpuc , you know of course, that I was in training to compete with @Marcarl in the napping competition of the VR Olympics. I have heard that he is unbeatable in the U-turning segment but vulnerable in the napping part! And I will surely pray for Tip. She has done above and beyond any mere mortal!
  20. Now Puc, you have gone and done it. I laughed so hard at this post that it interfered with my nap time!!! I will never look at lane splitting the same again!
  21. Congratulations! Now you can ride longer and farther without work constraints! Enjoy your time! BTW, we were in your neck of the woods visiting my brother in mayfield!
  22. I concur with what has been said here: try on helmets and wear them awhile. We have the hjc helmets as well and really like them. The only thing is that if you want to take a drink going down the highway, when you flip up the chin guard, it catches the wind and jerks your head back!😟
  23. Good for you!!! That’s a tremendous accomplishment!
  24. Looks great! They always say; a good carpenter makes mistakes but he knows how to hide them!! Good work!!!
  25. Yay!! Welcome back!
