    Thanks George for the tip... we'll try to find a better route... OB-1, Why leave the pistol at home? Can't bury it enough on the venture? On the interstates, guess we're just trying to mix it up a little for time sake... a lot of miles in only 7 days and need to make some time somewhere. If theres one we should miss though we may make some changes... any thoughts? Thanks much!

    We'll be on part of that route at the end of the month (july). Starting near Amarillo, TX we're headed up to glacier NP, cross the border into cardston then back around and a pass through sturgis just before it get's busy. We're taking I25 up through Denver then I-90 back west to 287 across WY to 191 through yellowstone then I90 again to 93 through flathead and up through glacier. We then make the loop up in Canada back to I-15 to 87 south to 90 into sturgis then hit I25 back south again. Anything to be concerned about on this route? Plenty of fuel? Any better routes to consider??

    Great info guys... many thanks! Im in Amarillo, TX -- the panhandle -- Another question i had is what headsets do you recommend for the intercom system. I picked up some J&M units but looking for at least one that is easy to install remove so i can take it off and on quickly for my kiddo's helmets and other passengers... Any ideas?

    Just unloaded my new 07 Venture from the truck and ready to start working on it. Got a little money to spend and want to know what everyone recommends as the immediate mods, critical, then those nice to have and the order i should start knocking them out in... Ive seen a lot of talk on the site of exhaust, leveling, passing lights, led's, etc but thought it would be nice for us newbies to have the vetrans give us the list from their experience... Thoughts?

    what ended up being your experience? I just got the blue 07 venture and want to light it up a bit changing the passing, tail, and turn signal lights... which ones did you get? I don't guess i know the base type, etc? Does anyone know what types i would need for this bike?

    thanks for all the input... I sure thought i saw one somewhere with hard bags and a setup like this... ah well... ill just see how the stock setup sounds and feels and may change to the RK's if necessary since that seems to be a good alternative- Thanks much- J

    newbie here and a newbie venture owner... don't even have it in the Garage yet but already getting ready to customize it and have an exhaust question- I really like the look of the 4 into 4 slash cut exhaust setups I've seen on some of the models. Can anyone point me to brands, models, and recommendations for pipes of these types? Are there any that are quieter than others? I'm not a fan LOUD and actually prefer quiet most of the time but like to hear some rumble on acceleration. I owned a v65magna for years and loved how smooth and quiet it was heading down the highway... not necessarily looking for that, but not anything too loud... Looking forward to picking everyone's minds as i begin to customize my new ride- J 07 Venture Galaxy Blue
