  1. I'm sure it's answered here somewhere but can't find it. I replaced the front bulbs with LED boards and the rears with 1156 leds. I understand the flasher mod to slow the flash rate so here is the question: with the rears having the resistance integrated is the .33 ohm resistor still the answer in the flasher or is that correct for front and rear boards? Here is the link I plan to use to mod the flasher. I don't want to screw this up since WNY is this week and won't have time to order another flasher. https://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=109028&d=1492947796
  2. When I go to the PINT store and get a few none of my work looks right. Gotta watch that Flyinfool or he'll paint it white for ya.
  3. I can't make it to Bob's funeral so I have been trying to figure out a way to get some toys there as he requested. I looked up Operation Toy Soldier and found there are drop off locations around the country, mostly funeral homes near military bases. I thought I'd throw that out there for anyone interested. I seem to remember Bob saying he was in the 101st which is based 1-1/2 hrs from me so I plan to take a ride with the wife over there to donate in his name. Edit: I somehow missed Tiger Lilley's post about collecting toys at the rally, I didn't mean to undercut that effort in any way. Thank you Cheryl.
  4. Not the greatest but I got IMCs off eBay for less than $100 each.
  5. A friend had similar issues recently, he got a tank of bad gas. The store where he bought it doesn't sell much so they run to the bottom of their tank often. We drained it and had to change fuel filters twice to get it back to normal. It would stop up the filter with just enough getting thru to run. Once it sat for a while enough trickled thru to fill the carbs.
  6. Carl in assess chaps and high heels is NOT a picture I want in my head.
  7. I don't know what dressing proper like means to you way up yonder but I'm BEGGING please wear pants under your chaps.
  8. In the little time I've known Bob he talked more than once of being born again and welcomed the day he was called home. He will be truly missed. Prayers up for the journey home and for Becky also.
  9. I really hate to hear that. Prayers up Bob.
  10. Alright I signed up, however I do have a lot of work to finish first. If I get this show out and get the new front tire on in time I'll head out Thursday early and see y'all Friday morning. I heard quite a bit about WNY at Don's.
  11. Now I think I need taller boots. Maybe even splash shields for the bike.
  12. I don't get the whole running out of power thing at 70. What gear are you in at that point? If you're looking for acceleration at that speed 3rd will pull like a beast, 4th a little less but decent. Remember she likes to rev. If you're looking for the Baron's lowering kit send me a pm. I have one that was on my bike when I bought it but didn't like it with my long legs.
  13. Make sure the CB is turned off also. Check the ground bolt on left side of the radio.
  14. Really hate this. I'm so glad we got to eat breakfast with Bob Sunday after MD. Prayers up.
  15. Trying like hell to get this last show set done to make it. Y'all may see a crazy Kentuckian yet.
  16. Sorry to hear this Don. Prayers up they find it along with an easy fix.
  17. Sorry, I somehow read into this it was a 2nd gen. I had a DUH moment.
  18. With a 34 inseam (same here) you might like the leveling links to raise the rear, it helped mine.
  19. Prayers up.
  20. Some lower the front, some raise the rear, some use a 130 front tire or a combination of these to help. I raised the rear and went to a car tire and couldn't be happier. I often set at a stop lights with only one foot down with no problem. That being said I have long arms and legs so I have extra leverage, that helps more than most realize. One of my firefighter's was behind me recently and his wife told him my RSV looks too small for me.
  21. Have you tried a lowering kit? I have one I took off my bike.
  22. Thanks Don, you've definitely earned the $12 this year
  23. Good to hear that. Thanks Tom.
  24. I agree with all that, it's more the government and politics that scare me. The future of the next generations is what I worry about. That being said congrats on where your kids are, it starts at home. I hope the future of mine stays on path, I have one in med school to be a surgeon. and a senior in high school looking at aerospace engineering schools.
