Definitely sounds like a pinched nerve C5,6, and 7 are where i am having issues. My left hand has been numb/tingly for months and when it was at it's worst the pain in my left shoulder and chest was excruciating. I never lost motor function, but for a while I had no feeling at all in left arm from the elbow down. Xrays showed the misaligned vertebrae. My Chiropractor helped immensely.

Sorry to hear your wife had to go through that! Great to hear she is doing well! My wife welcomes your's to the Zipper Club. Kris had to have her aortal valve and quite a bit of the artery replaced about 15 years ago. Hers was a congenital issue and she was quite young for such a process. According to her doctors, the newest process for the homeogenic replacements is so good that they will never need replaced again. At the time of Kris's surgery we were under the assumption she would have to have the valve replaced again in 10-15 years. It seems the new process was still under scrutiny and they were not telling anyone about it until they had more empirical data.

Has anybody heard from jdbaker.vet? I've been trying to make contact with him for a couple weeks.

A couple more from the same blade smith that made the wrapped handle scalpel above. This is "The Brute" a massive and ugly Tracker(ish) hacker. And My Wakizashi made from a slab saw circular saw blade.

Here's my version of a Bagwell Hell's Belle. This was made with a licensed Ontario blade, my handle, guard, and sheath.

Here's one of my favorite fixed blades. Made by a local Blade Smith, Mike Yurco. It's based on the Filipino Gunuintang sword.

You and Eileen are always in my prayers. It does seem that Christmas has a price. My father died a few days before Christmas. I prefer to think of it as a sign that those taken at Christmas are sure to be met by Jesus and welcomed home.

Prayers up! Never fun but worse when it ruins a good holiday.

Spent some time yesterday evening going over the X-Rays with the Dr. I have a couple slightly compressed vertebrae(C5-C6 and C6-C7) and T1 is slightly out of line. A couple places with very minor arthritic build up, nothing major. The Dr. suspects that one or both of the compressed discs are bulging slightly but is confident that adjustments, NSAIDs and possibly some PT will take care of it.

I went for X-Rays yesterday. The Chiro will go over them with me tomorrow. To my untrained eye, I see two vertebrae that aren't watching their gig line. By my count, they are C5 and C6 which is where the Bone Cruncher told me the base problem is. I am feeling a bit better every day. I'm down to two adjustments a week from daily sessions.

Forgot to respond! Mine arrived while I was on the road. THANKS!

Just returned from my second chiropractic adjustment. I did see improvement after the first visit, the chiropractor confirmed today that things are looking better. I was still not able to sleep well last night but I was not in excruciating pain as I have been for the previous few days. This chiropractor uses a different method than the last one I saw effectively(many years ago). He uses a mechanical "thumper" to pin point impact rather than twisting me up and torquing my spine. I'll give it few more sessions, but I do feel the difference after each so far.

Earl, Thanks for the advice. I hear what you are saying and get where you are coming from with it. It IS appreciated and not discounted. However, There was no significant injury or situation that precipitated this event. None. I simple woke from sleep in pain. So far, the MD side has only suggested/prescribed pharmaceutical solutions that have had from little to ZERO effect. I have had good results in the past from chiropractics. Granted, it was a completely different scenario. Rich

I have been informed that I am suffering from a pinched nerve in the C6/C7 area. This information was provided after a visit to the emergency room because my wife was sure I was suffering a massive heart attack. The only reason I didn't think I was having a heart attack was simple. If I had actually been having a heart attack that hurt as bad as this did and went on as long this did, I'd surely have been dead. I've been shot, stabbed, and beaten(more than once). I have never experienced pain like this before. Excruciating and endless. I have not slept in three days. I have a second appointment with a Chiropractor tomorrow morning. I saw marginal improvement after the first Chiropractic visit this morning. The meds(non steroidal NSAID anti inflammatory) the ER prescribed do not seem to have much effect. Wish me luck.

The fact that this is true does not mitigate his stupidity. Anyone who cannot see the difference in these two situations needs to lay down. They are too stupid to walk and breathe in tandem.

Indeed, the slave cylinder is leaking. I rebuilt mine, but a new one is under $100.00.

please help, what would you do?

It's the size of the sail! A small bike, though lighter by several hundred pounds is less effected by wind than our 8' long 4' tall sheet of plywood sized 700 pound sail. -

Check and verify that the grounds are clean. If that doesn't fix it , pull the float assembly and make sure the wiper and coil resister make good contact through the full range of motion. I've had to solder an isolated ground wire on the float assembly on other bikes before. -
How do you drain the carb bowls?
luvmy40 replied to safetyguy's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
From the diaphragm side, look to the right(I think) bottom corner, back under the cast carb body. There is a screw recessed in the side of the carb. you can reach it with the carbs on the bike and the side covers removed. I don't remember if the lower fairing leg is in the way or not. I'm away from home and can't get a picture for you right now.
