  5. Ok guys, My nuvi was damaged on my why home from rolling thunder. So i am going to replace it with a zumo 665. I currently have the mic-mutes installed. What i'm wondering is if i get a buddy rich cable will it work if the intercom is muted due to the mic-mutes? Also does anyone know where i can get a buddy rich cable?
  6. It is a little more involved. but if you put a 2nd gen trans in to a 1st gen you should be able to do it. BTW do you have any pictures of the trans swap?
  7. Randy, The keyboards are normally easy to replace. What make and model of laptop do you have?
  8. I installed a similar light. Need to redo the mount but looking at getting the harley trim ring and bolting that to the adjustment bracket.
  9. Ok thinking about this. One of my guys is trying and the switch on the mc is only a two wire and the stock is a 4 wire. has anyone run into this?
  10. I just purchased my own tire changer. The shops here are anywhere from $25 - $150 depending on if its on or off the bike and if you got the tire from them. I have under $150 in my setup and will never be down more then a day for tires again.
  11. Yes it is mic-mutes.com I just installed mine. Love the cb/intercom. If you need to change out the cb antenna you'll need the following. Antenna, mounting stud, and cb to Motorola cable.
  12. Wow didn't realize i was going to start a gen war. Just got home from a trip and was passed by two goldwings they had more light on the rear then i have on the entire bike.

  14. DblTrbl, I have one from my 1300. $55 shipped and its yours. Kuryakyn 4612 is the part number. Plug and play has the resistor and flash tab.
  15. LugNut, Just did the fire stick swap on a buddys Midnight RSV he now gets Savannah radio in Charleston. Before he couldn't get some of the Charleston stations but we found out that his antenna wire was broken at the mount.
  16. Flyinfool, do you have anymore of the shim tools? I think i will be needing one soon.
  17. The only drawbacks i have found. 1. it requires the 40 pin ipod/iphone. 2. it only shows 1-1 on the display. 3. no way to change playlist/albums/artist only tracks if you start a playlist you can only change out of it when you stop.
  18. I got mine from my dealer. He was able to find me one for a good price. I found one on ebay for a buddy for a great price.
  19. I have that unit in the trunk love it.
  20. It is made by yatour. the connection mates up with our cd connector but the connection at the device end is a 15 pin looks like a vga monitor connector. I just couldn't find the pin out information. All you would need would be a male to female VGA cable that you could rewire to make the pins line up for the cd connection. The connection I have mates up with Hyundai 13 Pins which I believe was made by clarion. However when I connected it I could not get it to show on the display. It looks like that may be a kenwood connector. So you might need to make a cable to go from clarion to kenwood. http://pinout.net/pinout-scheme/355/%20Clarion%20cd%20changer%2013-pin%20DIN%20connector http://pinoutsguide.com/CarAudio/kenwood_cd_changer_pinout.shtml
  21. Arizona, I have a unit that will plug in but the venture does not read it. It would just take changing the pins on the connection at the unit. I was going to see about doing it but I came across the isimple unit for a good price.
  22. Pulled up on one on the interstate a few years ago. It was police escorted and all bikes the Hurst was a trike with a trailer. We were waved by. If I'm on a two lane I pull over
  23. Vz, Do you have both mounted in one helmet? I'm toying with the idea of converting the venture to Bluetooth. But if you have both that would be cheaper and faster
