It is VERY visible ! -
and in the US you have to give at least 1/2 of it to the government anyway... still I could find ways to spend 30 mill.

Well...... momma always told me that if I had nothing nice to say.... don't say anything at all. If momma was here she would tell you I was never much at listening to what I was told.....soooooo .......... Definitely not my cup of tea, maybe it grows on you.... I took the CCT out twice the CC out once the Vision out and a couple of the other goofy creations that they have used the same motor and differant gear boxes and exhaust systems for. It was pouring rain most of the morning so turn out was poor, I had my rain gear so I had fun. At $1.419 a liter for gas I rode most of the day on someone elses fuel. I just cannot seem to enjoy a V twin with large displacement... I can see the positives in the bike.... modern, new, Ipod. The CC had the electric windshield... I love that .... if I wanted to pay more I could get it on the CCT as well. I did not like the shifting, I always felt I was in second gear starting from the lights... she hauled on the highway but still that V twin vibration. The left mirror was so low that I kept hitting my hand on it when switching turn signals and stuff ?????? Just not for me ......but I can understand one of your comments about feeling the road after being on the wing that you have no feel from. If I could find pennies, that would be my .

It is good after these years to finally meet the only 3 "normal" folks here... I found an "average dummy" but normal is new..... Lots of tires.... lots of oil..... lots of fantastic information for lots of fantastic folks. You can even find some of them on facebook.https://www.facebook.com/groups/144033808988878/?bookmark_t=group If you find more normal.... do let us know...... welcome. -
Does the Casset deck work? It looks fantastic Rick I hope to see it up close soon.

Good you are back in the saddle ! The shifter is easily adjusted up so you do not have to twist your toe so far under. Two 10 mm wrenches and about 2 minutes and that shifter will be much easier to catch. Knowing a bike has come from a good home makes it a lot easier to jump on and ride.

Air suspension pumps
kevin-vic-b.c. replied to orlean1's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
that is the one I bought last weekend.... works great but now I gotta learn to ride again, PO had just used a bicycle pump and pressures were all screwy. -
[quote=GeorgeS;763105 Still raining, ( about 1 1/2 inch in last 24 hours ) , so I also applied a generous dose of Mink Oil to my Riding Boots !! :whistling: I guess Seattle's " no rain fall" record for May has stopped at 9 or 10 days then? I never knew before there was a place that got more rain days a year than Vancouver BC
-
They do have LED "riding" lights, I put same ones on my 02 couple weeks back. Don't think head light but I will look closely next week.
-
In British Columbia 2/16 is minimum permitted for a tire, if you have an 8,000 k trip, I would buy a new one first.
-
You live in Vancouver and don't ride in the rain..... you will be here as much as always cuz it is always raining in Vancouver! well maybe not as much as Seattle but close !
-
Vicpd is using them and very happy. The dealer says they beat the Wing hands down, and they sell the wings as well. you able to tow your trailer with it? :mo money: :mo money: :mo money: does it have a casset deck?

Map of States showing Gun Reciprocity

I had similar here when my second son was playing little league baseball his coach, happened to be my nephew in law, was (is) a LEO. The weekend of "the big game" for league championship nephew was scheduled to work, he went to Staff Sargent and asked if it would be ok if he swung by the game, it was slightly outside his boundary but only a minute or two if he was needed. SS told him if he was a community ball coach he needed to be at that game for the kids, he was told to take the car, in uniform and coach his kids, just keep radio on. As most of you know, here in Canada guns are not common place only LEO are permitted to carry while on duty, other than that you need a permit to transport and a reason why. The parents of the kids seeing a uniformed cop on the field was shocking, I was park supervisor that day and I had parents coming up to me and asking if guns were permitted to be on the field in the rule book... I was proud to have him out there, new park rule went into play from that day.... all LEO and FD members buying meals at our concession on duty got 1/2 price and a free beverage with it. -
I guess the important question first is.... what kind of bike? Another second gen and you might get away with it but for the price tag you quote something tells me new wing or one of those made in USA things. If it is a new wing they have a very nice all silver one at the dealer in Victoria ! I will test ride it for ya Rick !

BUBBLES in mercury column - Motion Pro
kevin-vic-b.c. replied to Peder_y2k's topic in General Tech Talk
I got air into my carb manometer first use, I believe I got the carbs too far out instead of in. The instructions that came with my non mercury manometer said to shake the tool as you would a a liquid filled thermometer. That cleared most of it but I ended up shaking it upside down and pulling the air into the storage vials.... assuming the mercury manometers are constructed the same as the non mercury units. -
I use my DL 650for commuting and quick single riding trips. Usually the Ventures for 2-up. DL is an awesome general purpose bike. My commute is 5miles round trip.

Miles, the R12GS is a '12 it is my brothers but I think I have put nearly as many miles on it as he. It is his second one, first was an 08 or 09. He got 60,000 Kms out it then dropped a valve and destroyed the motor.... dealer made him a deal and he ended up with this one and the shirt was still on his back but fully unbuttoned. He dropped this one last June and fractured his knee, low speed not a big thing, he got clearance to ride again and took his small bike (gs500) out and crashed it big re-broke the knee and fractured his shoulder as well as removed much flesh from knees and elbows. He has just had surgery on his shoulder 3 weeks ago and will likely not be riding this summer. BMW says that the bike needs to be used to maintain warranty. So I am the nice little brother helping out keeping his BMW in good order for him. Out of the four of them it is my least favorite, mostly as I am too small for it I think, needs to be lowered some if was mine. I love the V-Strom over the R12GS but I know the V has limited abilities by comparison.
